Most of the guys BC signed outside of Reilly were replacement level. You don’t just sign guys for the hell of it. This is a good roster outside of a few sore spots. A receiver would have been nice but we didn’t miss out. Jefferson was arguably the best non-QB free agent.

Your receivers don’t matter when you’re running for your life.

The Rutley signing is the most puzzling yet. Don’t pay up for old running backs. Especially ones that have done close to nothing in the league.

Harris and Nichols have both never won anything that counts but Harris' empty numbers are gaudier so he gets the slight nod.

How quickly people forget that he is the best player in the CFL after he has one season running for his life. He put up top-tier numbers in a situation where almost no QB would succeed.

They are, however, saved by how unbelievably awful the Riders will be this year.

JSK and Dean are upgrades but losing Grymes hurts. Either way, their offence is exponentially worse.

Count me in as someone who is deeply unimpressed with what Edmonton did today. I suppose they were put in a position where they had no choice but to replace Reilly and flawed as he is, Harris was the only real viable option but you don't go from Reilly to Harris and not expect a colossal drop off. No matter how many extra random pieces you add. They will be bad this year.

This is how I see the tiers: Tier 1: Mitchell, Reilly Tier 2: nobody Tier 3: Harris Tier 4: Nichols, Masoli Tier 5 and beyond: who cares? They are all garbage

I think we will see how much of a liability Loffler was in what our defence was able to do this year when we hopefully have a more mobile safety.

Leggett has exactly ZERO game left.

Ackie is not an effective SAM. Alexander, Fenner ir Gaitor will be SAM, no doubt.

Jefferson and Walker would really be all we need.

I’d love to see BLM wallow in Toronto. It would make the West a two team division.

He will get the same contract as Walker roughly and not be nearly as effective.

Honestly, the Esks are best served closing up shop and folding the franchise at this point.

I love signing 31 year old receivers to huge deals coming off their worst season in years.

Walker is the best choice by far of the remaining receivers.

Even with the last minute signings, this feels like the deepest FA class in a long time. I hate building teams this way but I can't deny always being exciting to see some new blood on this team. Burnham was the guy I wanted to see here most but in his place I really, really hope Walters doesn't sign Arceneaux. That would be pretty close to Bowman 2.0. I'd love to see a DB like Ciante Evans or Alden Darby. Jefferson would be nice since he's by far the best pass rusher in the league and it would put Roh back into a rotational role where he's best suited. I like Maleki Harris out of Calgary as well in the likely situation where we lose JSK.

I think that's fairly clear at this point.

If Matthews has NFL aspirations, he's dreaming. No one wants a 30 year-old washout.

Leonard was benched by Ottawa in the playoffs. He’s a one dimensional pass rusher and not all that great at that even.

It’s what happens when a middle of the road player gets three straight All Star nods. I don’t blame him for asking that much, it’s just a shame.
