  1. O’Shea’s decision was fine. We have a great short yardage team and that’s still a very high percentage play, regardless of the end result. I want O’Shea making aggressive calls like that.
  2. Nevermind, I’m wrong again. If BC beats Sask they end up 2-2 combined, Sask ends up 3-2 combined and we get the crossover.
  3. I could be wrong, but I think the tiebreaker is record against all tied teams so instead of head to head record it’s head to head to head record. We are 2-3 against sask and BC, BC is 3-1 in that scenario and Sask is 2-3 in that scenario. Then it would go to point differential in those games which I believe we would end up having based on our big wins against BC and Sask. so BC, us , Sask I stand corrected.
  4. Return men frequently have short bursts of effectiveness followed by long periods of mediocrity and maintaining jobs through name recognition. Albert Johnson III comes to mind.
  5. Nichols, Adams, Sayles.
  6. Would be extremely nice to see B.C. lose so we can have essentially a bye next week against Edmonton and see some backups.
  7. Sask second, us third, BC fourth. Due to head to head tiebreakers.
  8. Fogg to me has been better this year on D than he ever has. Not perfect, but he’s been adequate. The real concern is on returns because his best quality has always been not letting punts hit the turf. If he’s not doing that, his crummy returns become more of a problem.
  9. Rogers clearly did not have control, nor did he survive contact and anyone who says otherwise is either blind or doesn’t understand the rules of football.
  10. Of course saying he’s extremely bad is an exaggeration but his tendency to go sideways instead of forward is frustrating and rarely results in a positive play.
  11. Props to Nichols for having his best game of the season when it was most needed.
  12. You pay what you have to when the rare opportunity arises to acquire the best player in the league. He probably doesn’t sign but you need to take a shot.
  13. Would be very disappointing if this were true and the Bombers weren’t interested.
  14. Not sure why that would make a person go “hmm”. The Colts were up big all game and won 37-5. No one throws for big yards when you’re up 24-0 at halftime. No relevance to a certain other quarterback but good try.
  15. Listen, I agree that Nichols sucks but comparing his career numbers to Collaros’ is sort of unfair. Sure, in the end they look similar but Collaros had a couple years of MVP level play combined with now two years abysmal play. Nichols has largely been consistently average with one season of above average.
  16. That’s the king of thinking that breeds franchises like Montreal.
  17. A guard is never going to get consideration for MOP and while Bighill has been good and even great the last few weeks, I would suggest those who say he should be the Bombers’ MOP over Harris are dreaming.
  18. That’s not the point. Just because we have another potentially great Canadian lineman in Gray now, doesn’t make Chungh any less valuable. For one, I do think Gray projects as a tackle rather than guard and for two, Chungh has close to another decade of effectiveness left in him. I’m not saying we should let Bighill walk, but we would regret losing Chungh more in the long run.
  19. This is crazy and I disagree completely.
  20. Bighill is also 30 and despite our struggles to find them in the past, import MLBs are easier to find than high end Canadian linemen.
  21. Chungh is easily a bigger priority than Bighill. It’s not even close.
