  1. This is preposterous. Just because it’s a team game, doesn’t mean there aren’t individual responsibilities. There is lots of blame to go around.
  2. I mean sure but that’s a low bar. Harris at least has the arm to let his receivers make plays but he doesn’t create offence like Mitchell or Reilly.
  3. Trevor Harris is 32 years old lol. And he’s hardly a star. It is extremely clear you don’t know what you’re talking about across the board.
  4. Nichols gets away with murder. We were cursed with terrible QBs for years so now that we have an average one, we treat him like the lord and saviour. Harris is also painfully average but he has 241 yards passing. When will Nichols be held accountable for these performances. He has zero games of over 300 yards this year. That’s embarrassing.
  5. Bombers have a lot of talent at a lot of positions. On the whole, far better players than Ottawa. Penalties are killing them as is abysmal QBing.
  6. Defence is playing like garbage but it would be nice if our QB could hit an open man.
  7. Another empty 83% completion quarter for Harris. The guy is the most overrated player in the league.
  8. I mean, Nichols was terrible by any metric but other than that, agreed.
  9. I completely disagree that it’s pointless to speculate but I suppose the bottom line is, Nichols was very bad, his numbers probably should have been even worse and the Bombers still won. Whatever that says.
  10. You can’t be serious. The overthrows were terrible too. I’m not even sure what you’re trying to make here. That we would have had more success had Nichols not missed a ton of open guys down the field? Won’t disagree with you there.
  11. Without a doubt this is true but there were very few people defending the D after those atrocious performances. Nichols should be held to the same standard.
  12. And do not take my criticism of Nichols performance as an endorsement of Masoli. Masoli definitely sucks but I wouldn’t call him completing passes while under intense pressure as “lucky” and it’s certainly not fair to equate those situation with dropped interceptions. I’m not even sure what the argument is over dropped interceptions. Last year Bridge lead the league in dropped INTs and it inflated his numbers by a ton, now his stats have regressed to the mean and his stats have been abysmal this year. Nichols is better than Bridge by a large margin, but it’s not a recipe for success in the CFL to throw for under 200 yards with some regularity.
  13. I completely agree that Winnipeg is a better team at nearly every position than Hamilton. The difference at running back and o-line is particularly steep. I don’t even think that calling the deep shots was a bad call. Without Breaux, that secondary should scare nobody and receivers were open. I recognize that deep shots are more difficult to complete than short and medium passes but those were throws that a great quarterback has to complete with at least some regularity. It’s foolish to say that it’s unwise to go deep just because the plays didn’t work out. There needs to be some confidence in a quarterback’s ability to stretch the field.
  14. Look, I’m not going to argue with you over this but you have to see the luck involved when a relatively easily intercepted ball is dropped and the impact that any of those interceptions would have had on the outcome of the game.
  15. Three dropped INTs in one game is extremely rare and shows a great deal of luck. We won by 6 points against a team missing their shutdown DB and our QB throwing for 180 yards. Even one of those three being caught drastically changes the complexion of the game.
  16. Good one. I guess we should ignore terrible balls that DBs just drop.
  17. The ticats dropped three INTs last night so it wasn’t from lack of trying.
  18. The deep ball calls were not a problem. Guys were open, Breaux didn't play. Nichols just missed them time after time.
  19. He also struggled badly making tackles. I love the guy but he had a very bad game when not matched up with Tolliver.
  20. Nichols and Randle were both awful. Best part of the game was the thought that even if it’s farfetched, this team theoretically could start 4 non-import receivers at some point and they wouldn’t look out of place.
  21. It will always amuse me that since the defence has been better since Fenner has been out, people assume there’s a correlation. Fenner will be an asset to this defence and as much as I think Leggett is great, to say he’s a huge upgrade over Fenner is grossly uninformed at best.
