Well I guess you won't be watching another game and giving away your tickets because my guess is you won't see Marve

I was willing to give Etch a chance up to now, mostly based on the fact that Sask previously made it to the Cup with his defense, but there are so many obvious holes in his schemes now, that he just has to go! The only thing one might say in his defence is that the D line and ends are not good enough period.

Oh...sure we can!

Exactly. Bryant isn't scaring anyone. It's sad if Bryant is the guy we're relying on to stretch the field. Looks like you have a Bromance with Kelly
-
There is nothing clearly about it...you really have no idea if that is true or not. Based on performance this season, it's pretty clear to me. You said it was based on bromance not performance...but you still have no idea if your statement is true or not

As opposed to non Grey Cup hosting years when we don't try to field a very good team? We try to field a very good team every year. We just don't succeed often enough. No...not as opposed to non Grey Cup hosting years...most every team that has hosted the Grey Cup spends more money and tries to field the most competitive team they can more than any other year, to try and be one of the teams in the Grey Cup. If you haven't seen that in the past you haven't been watching or just like to continue in your usual negative tone.
-
Next year is Grey Cup host year for us...so I would imagine that we will be very active to try and field a very good team.
-
Simple...the organization, coaches, and product on the field is just plain better than last year. Not great yet, but Rome wasn't built in a day, and there is a plan which is more than I can say for the last few years.

Blindsiding a guy when the play is over is the definition of stupidity, especially since it was made a point of emphasis for officials, which players are well aware of. It's a pointless, selfish act, and that kind of crap is continually costing our team field position and points. Maybe Kuale should take up MMA, cause team sports sure aren't his thing. At least there his selfish stupidity will only hurt himself. He didn't blindside anyone on the play. They went face-to-face and neither player got the better of the other. Kuale has taken a number of stupid penalties but that penalty shouldn't have been called. The hit that was called was a late and unnecessary blindside, exactly what the officials are watching for. Kuale came across the field and blindsided Verdone on a punt return when our returner was already on the turf. Verdone popped up, they had words and Kuale tapped him on the head afterward. You must have missed the hit that drew the flag and only caught the aftermath. He didn't blindside anyone. The Ottawa player saw him coming, turned and ran towards Kuale. It's right there in the video: http://vid288.photobucket.com/albums/ll198/Takara_Soong/Kualepenalty.mp4 The whole point is the play was well past him, and the ball was out of bounds, no need for him to make contact, and I didn't see the other player running towards him. If that was the case and Kuale didn't respond the penalty could have gone the other way. Kuale just wanted to impose himself physically like he always does.

No really....you don't get it as has been said about your posts several times

If you're just trying to measure progress then all you can do is look at where they are starting from and gauge whether or not they are headed in the right direction. We should be comparing our team against the other teams in the league this year, not against last years historically horrible team. If we'd gone 1-5 in the first third and 5-1 in the second third, then I'd say we are heading in the right direction and I'd be pretty pumped about our chances of making the playoffs this year. That's not what's happened. We pulled out some late comebacks in the 1st third of the season and we've been heading in the wrong direction since then, culminating in a bad loss to the former worst team in the league. That's way more important than how we look compared to last years losers. Quite frankly, this team isn't much better than last years team. Willy's the biggest difference between 3 and 6 wins and neither record is good enough. So I guess that Calgary lost to Montreal makes them a team on the decline.

Walters not bringing in players is what bothers me the most. We are supposed to have this great scouting staff. Well for **** sake we could use their so called expertise & connections now & what does Walters do? Absofreakinglutely nothing. As far as MOS goes, a little less chip on his shoulders with the media & making players like Kuale accountable would go a long way in helping this team become a winner. This "us against them" mentality has to stop. Perhaps you haven't been reading the bombers new from so far away...we brought in two new receivers just last week, and have more players on the practice roster, just haven't inserted them yet, but it appears that will happen soon

I agree, O'Shea can criticize specific aspects of the team without naming names when they under-perform instead of deflecting as he does. I like Chamblin's no-nonsense approach with fans, players and media alike, he is brutally honest, straight forward and doesn't throw players under the bus. He does bench players though so he makes clear there are consequences for poor play. If you watched the RR/Stamps game after he pulled Doege, Chamblin had a face to face with him from about 6" embracing him with his hands on his shoulder and helmet as he would a son. He wasn't yelling at him but actually speaking directly to him though words and his eyes. To me that shows ultimate accountability. Isn't chamblin also the guy that bans the media from attending practices? you think that would fly here? LOL. For every good that one coach on another team does, there are equally as bad things he does and if he was coaching here, the fans would rip him a new one too. Maybe worse even, Chamblins coaching pretty much lead the riders to lose a few games earlier in the season they shouldn't have also and you can even say that not playing sunseri the entire game vs calgary was a coaching mistake. The kid looked good that game. What if he played the entire game? Perhaps sask would have won? I wasn't comparing coaching results just different styles of communication. So what are you really saying? That all coaches should communicate the way YOU want them to? or they should all communicate the same no matter what? Or that definitely one method of communication is better than the others because you think it is? IMO O'Shea obfuscates the problems the Bombers are currently facing and in doing so he treats both the fans and the media like they couldn't possibly have any understanding of football (shades of Kelly) or that it's none of our business (a deeper shade of Kelly). I have no idea of how he communicates with his players because as much as I've tried they still won't let me sit in the locker room. Well he's right the media doesn't have a real understanding of football...also most fans don't truly understand the inner workings either...he never says or intimates it's none of our business, that is purely your take on things.

As I understand it Etch does not emphasize fundamentals like tackling, he's more into the overall schematic and believes players should have the fundamentals down pat by this point in their career. Doesn't look like a football player, he looks more like like a pharmacist. Did he ever play? So now you have to look like a football player to be a good coach?

Watson's injury history is mostly centered around his hamstring. It is very hard for some players to get back to perfect health with hamstring injuries. Some do, some don't, and keep getting the injury. If he could heal completely I would say we should keep him, if he can't, then I'm with those who would trade him but only for very good value.
-
because he has had a bad case of fumblitis througout his career. So that's why they are keeping him around? So he can fumble some more? Adrian Peterson used to fumble on a regular basis but he fixed that problem, so why can't Volny?
-
It was very very quiet in that stadium. Willy said he made a mistake not calling his own play, and would learn from that.
-
Instead you are actually the worst for thinking Etch is the worst. That was certainly NOT a worst performance yesterday!

O'Shea heated in CJOB post game interview

So let ME get this straight...the coach shows some emotion and you claim that is the reason the ship is sinking? -

Well, that contacting the kicker penalty was a bit suspect but I can't blame the official for throwing the flag. If it was Lirim getting hit like that, in the exact same way and circumstance, I'd have wanted a flag for it, so I'd be hypocritical to go against the call. But we have been screwed over royally by the Officials yet again this year. It's a real momentum killer when other teams get a call and we don't. Especially when we play the Riders. Then why didn't they call a worse contacting the kicker when we played Sask the last game? -
