I would rather see Knapp on the Bench, I haven't decided about Howard yet but to me Knapp is built like a TE and plays Tackle Like a TE Poorly 285 lbs is one hell of a TE.... Knapp is playing cuz of his athleticism... I think he can be a pretty effective player... perhaps he could afford to put a few of the pounds back on that he took off in the winter... My Concern is he is getting pushed back to the QB the past 2 games so he is too light and / or has bad technique. Even as bad as Boatman was last year at least he didn't get pushed around. I would rather see Javis Jones Play RT I think that our illustrious offensive line coach would disagree with you!

So what you're telling us is that it was an intentional trick play by Reilly? If that's the case he had better watch himself in the future if he does that again!

that sounds like good news ... know if we can give our defensive 7 some stickum and 3 other forms of glue to wrap up Harris Meanwhile Edmonton showed we don't know what to do when they stacked the box against us ... where are the Blue 's deep thinkers? Not here...

It wasn't just players. I believe it was Zurkowsky who said that some of the other coaches didn't like the way Worman treated them. Well, they got what they all wished for. They'll be looking for work at the end of the season. Firing should always be the last option, especially for coordinators. You can't tell me the situation couldn't have been handled differently. Higgins calls in Worman, asks what the problem is, Higgins tells Worman of the concerns expressed, they talk about the problems & then work on a solution. If after that, things don't improve then you make a change. But fire Worman at training camp & dump everything into Dinwiddie's lap was/is a recipe for failure. Hey that sounds easy!...wonder why they didn't think of that?

It might be that Wylie doesn't like his work ethic or that Jones doesn't learn very well but sure looks like it's Wylie making this decision. Somebody should show Wylie game film from last season maybe that would help to convince him that Jones can play. I don't think after all these years that Wylie needs some film of Jones from last year to show him who can play!

I understand the need to upgrade the Bomber talent level but I prefer continuity and running with vets because you know more or less what you've got. Because of this I wasn't that thrilled about getting rid of Will Ford especially when he was not given any game action this year and I won't be happy if they cut loose Woods either without a superior replacement. Continually "plugging in" new players trying to improve in positions that are not really problem areas gets old quick when the results long-term are not as good as the solution the original player provided. Plus I would have to think that this player movement eventually wears on team chemistry as no player can be immune to the "who's next mentality". At some point you have to expect to run with the horses you have, funny but they used to use a phrase "making the team" which does not seem to apply anymore. I agree with you to some degree, but running with the horses you have has been the basic theme around here for a long time. This regime is committed to doing whatever they can to improve, rather than maintaining the status quo. I'm all for that...because...do what you always do...get what you always got!

Suber can also tackle much better than many showed last game, and I've been talking about Woods' hands since training camp...watch though...now that I've said that if they insert him, he drops one.

If you watched the other qb's this weekend you watched a lot of bad!

Of course we would be. There's nothing wrong with what Reilly did. I'd expect him to get up if he didn't hear a whistle. The point is there should have been a whistle. This is one of those arguments where you're obviously not going to get it, so we'll just leave it at that. Point is there shouldn't have been a whistle because no one touched him. You're the one who's not getting it. No really YOU'RE the one who's not getting it!

he didn't hook slide but only because he was a bit off balance... he kind of fell sideways, but he was clearly trying his best to slide and give himself up. Yup, he was giving himself up. All the defense had to do was touch him, but they didn't for some unexplainable reason. That's their fault, not the refs or Reilly's. Why would they think they had to touch him when they were thinking he gave himself up and the whistle should go?....you're theory doesn't hold water. God good folks. I was taught in 6 man football in the 60's to tag the ball carrier on the ground. It's not something that's new. If the whistle hasn't gone, tag the guy. No questions. It doesn't matter if it's the QB or not. Just touch him down to make sure. in the 60's they didn't have the rule where the quarterback could slide feet first and have the play blown dead immediately...God good to you Mr. Burgess!

What a difference with these two individuals from last year in comparison...coach and quarterback http://www.bluebombers.com/video/index?sub_channel=1169# http://www.bluebombers.com/video/index?sub_channel=1169# One thing than annoyed me though, was leaving Willy in with 3 minutes to go when it was obvious that this was not going to be a comeback. I was concerned about him getting injured for no reason at this point.
-
lol here we go. Willy has been exposed. As what? A quarterback who won't go undefeated? I dunno Mike why don't you tell me what you saw from Willy yesterday? Less than average performance from my point of view. Well l'm not Mike..but to try and blame this on Willy is ludicrous!
-
It was a hard fall back to Earth for Bomber fans but I'll be happy if they make the playoffs. Me too - I think the outcome was the best possible. We got blown out - but not embarrassed Sometimes you believe your own hype. I'm not worried - I know we'll bounce back. It's only one game Blown out? Take away the easy six for Willis and another blown coverage for a TD and that is blown out?

Arland Bruce sues CFL over concussions
blitzmore replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So, let's say Bruce wins & gets $5 million in damages that's a hit of over half a mill per team. If it's upwards of $10 to $20 mill, you do the math. More? The floodgates will open. Keep laughin', guys. he would be much more credible if he would have filed the lawsuit while still gainfully employed in the CFL -

Hamilton 2014 = Blue Bombers 2012. At least Lapo was somewhat likeable as a coach. I still think he shouldn't have been fired. The only reason you say that is because of how awful Burke was. They did what they have done so many times in the past 20 years, they fired a coach and hired someone worse to replace him. Ritchie to Daley, Berry to Kelly, Lapo to Burke... Let's not fire O'Shea at the first misstep and maybe we can end that damned drought that makes everyone so crazy. It was the timing of the firing for Lapo that was stupid! -
Couldn't figure out where they're other DB's went to. Cox is a LB. Even that catch was a miracle coming straight over JFG's head like it did. Next time they try that play I hope they skew the angle of the throw at least 10-20 degrees to reduce the difficulty of the reception. so w So what will make you satisfied? Perfection on every play for the whole game?
