  1. The whole idea of you trashing the coach for being positive and not wanting to air any dirty laundry in public is ridiculous!
  2. Nobody is saying Burke was the sole reason for a poor season. Can't you read? To try and make it simple for you...he refuses to accept any responsibility for his part in the poor season! Get it now?
  3. Hole ona minnut Hole ona minnut rite dare I know there's a contingent of people who will argue that Burke sucks... BUT If they are going to imply that the 2013 Bombers was a team loaded with talent that was mismanaged by the coach, I'm gonna say pump those brakes. Pretty simple question. There have been massive changes to this roster from last year, both in the starting 24 and in depth. Other than the players who are in the NFL right now, which of the players from last year do people want back? The 2013 Bombers was a weak weak team. Correct....with an even weaker head coach
  4. Ok you date him then! The rest of us...well not so much...what is Burke really saying? that unless he has a strong team with strong players and a very good quarterback...he is doomed to fail...I guess that is being honest in a way...he is admitting he is a terrible coach! What a joke! No thats not what he said. Its one thing to rip on a guy for what he says but you have to make it sound even worse to make your point? I believe he said one thing he learned was you need talent to compete. News flash, thats true. Not really...you interpret your way..i'll interpret my way...how can you somehow try and make what he said positive about how he failed as a head coach? He said in too many words he had players who were not good enough and that is the reason he failed. Give me a break, he was a terrible head coach, and was always throwing his players under the bus. This is no different!
  5. No you're giving him a break! It all started with the brilliant statement " I don't know anything about offence"

  7. He may not have had the best talent in some places, but he had plenty of talent in others...He was just too lazy and lacked the talent himself to be a head coach!
  8. Here's Burke throwing ALL the players under the bus. According to him he really played no part in it!
  9. Stephan Logan
  10. Well, I might boo him if he dresses for our club. Because Bryant clearly quit on his team-mates last time he was here and in my opinion he doesn't deserve to ever again wear a Blue Bombers jersey. It also bugs me that current management shows such obvious disregard for recent history - and disrespect for fans and former players. They may not be mindful of that - new slate etc. but to bring in a player like Bryant, who demonstrated an utter lack of professionalism while here, borders on arrogance more than desperation. Such arrogance is not a good sign and will inevitably boomerang on Walters, O'Shea and Bellefeuille down the road. Talk about trying to turn this into a full fledged soap opera!
  11. What has that got to do with him?
  12. Interesting how some think that Wallace Miles is necessarily better than anyone we have now. in 2012 he had 5 catches for 35 yards in 2013 he had 11 catches for 158 yards and one TD Pretty small sampling I would say...
  13. If this team somehow gets on a roll and starts to win some games...no one will be talking about this anymore!
  14. Thanks guys...and thanks to Mark, Mike and all the staff who run this great forum. Lots and lots of work goes on behind the scenes. I really enjoy going to practices and my son often comes with me which makes it even better! Glad some of you enjoyed my reports. This is just an added bonus!
  15. According to the Coaches show on Monday...Ford will not be ready for game 1.
  16. The coaches during training camp are charting each and every throw that each QB makes, as well as many other factors...and what the QB coach has to say. Seems to me these factors plus performances in the pre-season games will determine the final order. Although I think that sometime down the road, Marve will be really good if he gets a chance, it means little as we are only grading these guys subjectively. Fun to watch who thinks which one has all the tools, but unless they can back it up with facts...doesn't really mean much in the end. When I went to training camp sessions, I liked Willy, Hall, and Marve, especially Marve. I don't think that way any more, now it's Willy and Marve for me, then Brohm...but matters not...the coaches know...or should anyway.
  17. What you're missing is what he did last year before he got hurt, and what he's doing in camp this year.
  18. Not really...appears to me the coaches know what they want to do...perhaps they should be given a chance to do that!
  19. Cotton is injured and was to see the Dr. yesterday
  20. Perhaps they are doing their due diligence, and trying to get it right. They also said they will meet with the cut players tomorrow.
  21. I wouldn't want Urrutia either...he dropped quite a few in TC...I also didn't like his lack of aggression in the game. I think we can do better. Jaymar Johnson? Jury's still out, one game with drops and one pretty good game, I want someone who is going to show up every game.
  22. You're also cherry picking a bit, but I'm sure you knew that. It's easy to say that Etcheverry's defense was weak in 2010 (especially their defensive line) after he lost a ton of personnel from the previous season. And hey, they still went to the Grey Cup. None of that makes him a great or even a good defensive coordinator, but cherry picking statistics that have everything to do with personnel that won't be wearing blue and gold makes little sense. Maybe for speculation. But to use it and try to prove anything definitively? Not likely. sure, i was cherry picking... but he still sucks Plus I was tired of everyone saying "hey he got to the cup so he's a good DC" when he was definitely NOT the reason they got to the cup. The fire Etch now crowd...sounds just like the comments posters in the Sun's sports stories
  23. So let me get this straight...you're worried that Etch is going to use a true corner who is shy about tackling in the wrong spot? No, he's saying Etch put the wrong guy at the Sam position. Pretty clear to me what he was saying. That's what I said "put in the wrong spot" I know exactly what he was saying as well, and it is nothing to worry about obviously...that happened in Sask...doesn't mean it going to happen here.
  24. I wish, you'll have your usual bomber supporters who will blindly give excuses and support whoever is on staff bash you and say its way to early, but reality is Etchevary's not a good DC. It was simply a bad hire. With who we have where, I don't see our run game getting any better. I used to think our pass defence would be good, but I'm starting to doubt that to. With Anderson sitting, we only have one, maybe two effective pass rushers on the DLine. It's not blind support. And if it is, then your discontent is blind as well. Maybe he's not a good DC, it's not unlikely by any stretch. But when you're unconventional, preseason isn't going to be where the determination is made His body of work in this league is more than large enough for us to form an opinion on his work. Just because it's only pre season doesn't mean we can't know what we're in for this year. Doesn't mean he's not able to change and adapt
