  2. Kels may be thinking of Jarvis Jones the linebacker for the Steelers
  3. I feel better about having the ignore feature on this forum
  4. If we sign Willy and get Nichols we don't need Glenn
  5. The team had the best offense in the league and the worst defense in the league. Wasn't his fault. Bottom line is today is a massive failure for the Bomber organization. I'm constantly defending the Bombers but today was a colossal failure. Walters really let us down. You said the same thing twice already or did you forget? One thought mind!
  6. Rookie President, rookie GM, rookie HC, uninspiring OC, a disaster waiting to happen at DC. Should I go on? We went with what works for the Bombers in perpetuity. We didn't hire the best people. We hired friends & acquaintances.... Nothing changes with this team. We ran out the old guard & paid thru the nose & replaced them with what? A younger version of the old guard. Now to get a starting qb like Glenn we'll probably have to part with a starter & our first round pick. Walters traded our second round pick for an injured player. Unbelievable that conceivably to get a legitimate starting qb we may have no picks until the third round. I just can't see this getting any worse but hey this is the Blue Bombers, we all know that it probably will. The sky has fallen in iso land...
  7. You mean Korey Banks lied to me on Twitter? Speaking pf players who totally wanted to play in Winnipeg can anyone update me on how Aaron Rouse's and Bradley Randle's NFL teams did in the playoffs? Bradley Randle went to the Vikings...no playoff
  8. It's got nothing to do with rookies...there are lots of other reasons why players choose to go to a particular team. You really think Collaros and Burris chose not to come here because we have rookies? They got either a better contract overall, they have better incentives, they have a longer contract, they got more money up front, they got the use of a car from a local dealership, they got their pick of cheerleaders, they like the coaches better....etc.etc.etc.
  9. If Hanker signs with Ottawa, I say good riddance! and I don't think Walters has to account for anything. I say good for him if Burris and his Agent were trying to hold him up for ransom.
  10. Love to see the quote in just the way you describe it....
  11. Which should be a very real concern. Burris has said himself that he doesn't like to be challenged for his position. He's basically a player that you need to coddle and if you even think about questioning his position on the team he pouts. Not a good team mate or leader. Hell of an athlete but dumber than a stump and very needy. You really have no way of knowing whether what you are spouting is true or not! It may be how you feel about things, but that doesn't make any of it true!
  12. You have no idea if that is the fact or not!
  13. I don't see Poblah as potential anymore, and trading him for a proven player is a step in the right direction. Joe Mack loved 'potential' and look where it got us. I just think though, that if Wally is looking at moving Banks it's because he's one step away from cutting him, think that Walters could have played a bit more hard ball rather than letting Wally dictate the move. Some people love to take chances on those potential guys I suspect that there could have been some better asset management gone on. I don't give 2 shits about losing Poblah but so far I am not convinced that Walters is a good trader. I know Wally likes riding on top of the wave and all, but do you think that Wally would be willing to just cut a respected leader and DB like Banks though, even at 34? Even if he's the team's 3rd best corner, that seems like a bad team move to me. Unless he's lost a couple of steps and is no longer good enough to stay on the field. True leaders are in short supply... as long as Banks can still ball on the opposition's 3rd/4th best receiver, I'm good with this trade. Yeah he trades them to someone else... the issue here to me is that more and more it seems like Walters pays sticker price for guys in trade, sticker price is sucker price. Sticker price is only in your own mind...It's all about supply and demand
  14. good don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!

  16. Well this is certainly one possibility....the thing I don't like is this statement "Burris wouldn't exactly be a long-term answer for the Blue and Gold, as he will turn 39 years old during the first week of training camp, but he would give the reeling franchise an instant upgrade and be an excellent mentor for the team's young pivots." I don't think we have any young pivots who I think are the long term answer for the day Burris shuffles off into the sunset. If we were to sign Burris, and if the bombers don't bring in any other pivots with all the necessary tools, then I think this is a bad plan.
  17. Yes and that is why he isn't playing in the NFL? How is that relevant? Ray gives you the complete package as a QB (Reading a defense, accuracy, knowing what passes need touch, footwork, mechanics, etc) but is not in the NFL. It's relevant because you said he is the complete package. Obviously he's not, or he would still be playing there. Just because Ray plays well in the CFL doesn't mean he would ever be a very good NFL quarterback. I'll take him, but if you read some of the scouting reports, they're good, but he is not the complete package. Of course it doesn't. That's why the Jets cut him when Ray tried the NFL during training camp. The point was is that Ray (and Willy, though they are different style of passers) do everything well that you need to do to be successful in the CFL. Your NFL point is irrelevant. Actually my NFL point is relevant. It was you who stated Willy is the complete package...if he was, he would still be playing in the NFL. The comparison to Ray is irrelevant!

  22. No we don't, we need better coaching, better schemes, a QB and a better offensive line. Then you'll see how it won't matter how much experience we have. We don't need Stala.
  23. Look at the QB's Calgary had to work with versus the garbage that WPG has? Calgary has had a vastly superior GM and as a result, a superior pipeline to quality players. If Huff was coaching Max Hall and the funky bunch he'd have a shitty year too. Kevin Glenn wasn't good enough in Winnipeg or Hamilton but he was good enough for Hufnagel.... And they had two other QB's pushing him that were/are superior to anything in WPG. Perhaps you should become a Calgary supporter seeing as you love them so much...rather than a Wpg hater... Your mom know you're online right now? Cause I hear you're failing social studies and she isn't happy. Weak, very weak
