  1. Miller said he talked to Joe and relieved him of his duties...how do you think that doesn't spell "Fired"?
  2. The worst part is Bombers timing...just like when they fired LaPolice at least one game too early. Joe was in the US scouting NFL camps...what a waste!

  4. Former Bomber Wade Miller Acting CEO Of CFL Team Winnipeg, MB, Canada / 680 CJOB - Winnipeg's News & Information Leader CJOB Team Coverage August 09, 2013 09:48 am As heard on 680 CJOB the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have shaken up the organization by firing two top officials. CEO Garth Buchko has been fired along with General Manager Joe Mack. While word leaked out yesterday that Mack was being recommended for firing by the CEO the decision to let Buchko go was a surprise. Board of Directors Chair Brock Bulbuck called the leak unfortunate and unethical and unfair to Joe Mack. Former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Wade Miller has been named acting CEO. Miller told the media at Investors Group Field he is not afraid of the term acting CEO and will work hard to bring back the winning attitude that fans deserve. The Blue Bombers are tied with the Edmonton Eskimos for the CFL’s worst record at 1-5, and are winless in their first 3 home games at Investors Group Field. The Bombers are in a bye week and don’t play again until Friday, August 16th when they host the Hamilton Tiger Cats. http://www.cjob.com/2013/08/09/4660/
  5. How do you know he wasn't the source of the leak? He tell fat boy to hold the story until he's out of town
  6. It's all there complete with double negatives...so no trying again...doesn't make much sense
  7. And I hope the ONLY thing happens is Kyle Walters for Asst GM and Canadian Scout
  8. And how would Burke know, when he says he knows nothing about offence?
  9. According to the local rag, you pick which one, the bombers are actually going to consider during the break, that it would be Pierce rather than Hall who would come off the bench if Justin continues to struggle. Then Crowton says that he would like Hall to get some playing time in the last 2/3 of the season. These guys simply cannot make up their minds, and just like Crowton, have no real game plan in mind. They basically also confirmed what I have been suspecting, that they are incapable of making any meaningful adjustments at half time. The play calling in the 2nd half was really pitiful. During the time Goltz has been here, he has never shown that he is consistently accurate...have watched him live in training camp and during pre season games. I don't really think that can be fixed but I hope so. Still willing to give him more games to see if he can improve, but I think with Crowton's play calling, he is likely to be ruined. Hope for the future? Very quickly dwindling, unless big changes are made.
  10. Burke also thinks Crowton is a brilliant coordinator...so what our coaches believe means nothing...
  11. This whole thread of its many pages, is all based on nothing but a rumour, I can't find one printed word anywhere of recent note that Rod Pedersen said Bombers want to hire Tilman. The other thread is better being Who would you want to hire as GM?
  12. Not to mention that most of the front office personnel quit, while he was in Edmonton, and he left signing players in a mess. Nobody could stand him.

  14. He got fired for a reason....definitely not for me I'd consider Paul Jones from Edmonton
  15. The grand proclamation is so that Goltz knows he is the starter, which gives him added confidence in doing the job. This back and forth wishy washy, Buck is hurt, no he isn't, why isn't he be performing better, when virtually all knowledgeable fans can see that he is only a shell of his former self, is nothing but detrimental to the team, for fans, managment, and players. Good for them for finally making a hard decision that should have been made long ago. You think they were never painted in a corner? They were with Buck until they found the balls to do the right thing. Who cares if Justin isn't the answer, so they try Hall. At least this way we'll know where we stand and can make a plan for the future. What you are intimating is they should stay with the status quo...which gets us absolutely no where now and for the future!
  16. We don't have a next next guy...
  17. I believe Ottawa gets to select three
  18. Burke wasn't here apparently...he was attending funeral for his mother in law
  19. It is also possible, if what he said is true, that this is not Burke's idea at all, that it is simply being forced on him, because he doesn't have a clue, and they can't fire him right now because they signed him to the extension. I have little faith that Burke is capable of learning enough to be an excellent head coach. A defensive coach who admits he know nothing about offences, when he was supposedly designing defences to stop what the offence was doing...is telling. To say nothing of bad decisions, poor personnel decisions, and someone who just says the first thought that pops into his head.
  20. If they relegate Buck to 3rd string or cut him outright we would have Hall and Goltz
  21. There is absolutely no reason for you to be calling people idiots!
  22. I guess you guys know how I feel about a good amount of blitzing
  23. to be fair...Anderson also got two where he got rocked, and held on...both good catches...drops though were not good
