Arash Madani: Miller Trying to Force Rick Worman On Walters
DR. CFL replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
How about Hunt being told by Dan Rambo an advisor to Ottawa that Mack was the best GM in the CFL. I know....where did you hear that? A prominent agent that represents a number of high profile CFL people. -
Tom Higgins interested in Bombers GM job

It goes back to the notion of a nation wide search and he ends of being the best candidate. Unfortunately it is another reflection of the bad hiring history of the BoD. -

So he doesn't have a BA in stats. I guess he won't be in MLB. -

You want to adhere to the theory that you need to have played at a high level to be involved in player evaluation or coaching? Perhaps you should get your hands on a bio and see what is background. He comes from a similar situation as Craig Heisinger AGM of the Jets and GM of their. There are a number of past and current players on the team and in the cfl that he scouted and brought into the league. The irony of it is because people didn't pump his tires or even knew what he did they want to dismiss it as....Mack got rid of him so he must have been a bad dude. Nobody hired him in a small league with limited opportunities must have been a bad dude. Bauer's buddy....another strike. Well now you have Asper and Dunn's buddy Miller so start keeping score of that one my friend. -

Well another careful well crafted rebuttal. How it goes from managing and making the cap during his tenure to being responsible for the financial state of the club is something that I am hoping you might explain. -

I doubt Burke knows anything about what the cap is, what is included and where they r really at. -

How do you have a HC on standby when some of the best candidates might be involved in the Grey Cup? What if Collaris' agent says I want to wait and see if I get a better deal in free agency? Some real potential hiccups bending. -

In an 9 team league it isn't like there is a huge amount of turnover and job opportunities. The only change in the football ops area was in Edmonton. Ryan Wagner who quit because of Tillman returned after Tillman was fired. Otherwise Hodgkinson had a legitimate shot at that position. People want to make things here about love or hate. I don't understand it. -

If I am a betting man the Bombers are over the cap. Mack got rid of the guy that did almost every contract and managed the cap completely. The BoD and CEO tried to then ram Duane Forde down his throat and how did that go. They got rid of the wrong guy who was the stabilizing factor in football ops. -

If Miller's comment about him being involved in football ops doesn't make people nervous...it should. Read whatever you want into that or not he is driving this bus anyone else is likely if they get to ride shotgun. When Higgins name doesn't get stamped on the job you will know why. Higgins has that situation figured out and his name will quietly fade into the sunset. People in Winnipeg will be left to try and put a spin on the thanks but no thanks. -
Asper was involved in the GM hiring process. At that point in time his stadium proposal had not fallen apart and there was still the possibility that he might own the team. Because of that he was in on the interviews of the GM.
-
I think people are not questioning if Creswin is sussessful but moreover whether that success has in any way been the true result of Asper's direct involvement.
-
Not sure reality qualifies as bashing. If you think otherwise as to his business acumen so be it.
-
Perhaps the new HC in concert with the permanent GM should pick the coaching staff. Not Anyone else including Miller.

Passed over? I would say. Ore likely run over. -
Creswin was virtually up and running...only thing left is to screw it up.

What and why people think the media has a personal agenda is beyond me. They want to get the scope...they have got a bone and now they will run with it. Like it or not. There is smoke to this. -

Perhaps Madani is trying like most people to figure out what hiring process is going on in Winnipeg? A good question by many. -

If Walters is the GM why is Miller talking about hiring him. Worman has been in the back door with Miller already. Worman tried to back door as an O consultant last season when they were talking about hiring help for Crowton. Worman was on the Ottawa payroll then. -
Given the recent events at City Hall and the fact that Sheegl was the City's representative , as well as the head of the Stadium company should he now resign from the Bomber Board?

Stewart is a solid field corner and ST player. He came in with what people thought were the physical skills and athletic ability to play SAM but could not comprehend the complexities of the position.
