I am not sure what QB would be thrilled to play behind the current o line right now.

Hardest position to play QB, second hardest SAM....needs to be athletic, tough and yes smart. The first two are meaningless without the third.

Bluto as the Argo expert ,check the old Argo books there was a QB in the late 70's maybe start of 80s had an unbelievable completion average....then check his passing yardage and yardage per pass. It was like 6 yds. Great % but people need to be more results driven.

If people think going potentially 6-12 and miraculously making the playoffs ahead of Edm and Ham I suggest they set there expectations a little higher.

Joe Pop and Robson were the 2 geese that layer the Mack egg. Pop was the guy that actually paraded out and made the announcement. Waiting for the replacements must really be some welcoming news for the current crop of players he doesn't think are good enough. NFL final cuts are 3 weeks away and then players wait for pr spots and their dream to slowly fade away before they relent and come north...on the meantime we are to cheer n and carry the torch it seems?

Well declaring Goltz a starter for the rest of the year is a big step and opening yourself up for potentially having to admit you made another mistake. Still not a smart move as a forward thinker.

So flat out declaring Goltz your starter for the rest of the year is a smart move? What happens when we we have seen is what we get out of Goltz? Does Hall become the starter for the rest of the same year? Make Goltz the starter...period...don't box yourself into a corner with a blind declaration makes more sense.

I guess one needs to list the qualifications and preferred skills and experience for a GM. Then understand not everyone or anyone might fulfil all those qualities. He should then surround himself with competent people to augment the management team.

No the GM that didn't have a clue should have been fired long ago. Then maybe things wouldn't have gotten to this current state.
