Still DC hasn’t missed a tackle yet......Loffler does play close to the box......he would be a better MLB then the name we din’t Speak....or speak too often.

MOS can play as many Nationals as he likes. I’m all about waving the flag....the key is how many are TOP level National players? Hurl certainly isn’t, and nor are the a National receivers.

Blame Walters, the scouting staff, MOS , or Hall. Part of the issue with playing Hurl is dictated by the ratio. On a team that does not have the ability to start 3 Nationals on the o line, a team that does not have a bona fide TOP level a National Receiver , has the good fortune of aTOP level National RB is basically forced to play a sub par National MLB. So the buck can be split into quarters and they can all own apiece of it for what it is worth.

Pat DeMarrco was run out of Wpg as a bad o line coach and has done a good job in Calgary often with a plug and play injured o line. Give a decent coach decent players. How many DCs would want to play a Hurl?

I can see Toronto signing Franklin. He knows Ray is near the end of his career , with a history of injuries limiting his play. Financially they can either give him a deal heavily loaded with playtime money or with the belief that either Franklin or Ray’s money can be hidden off the Cap on the IR.

Great add to the scouting staff......maybe get rid of some of the dead wood that scouting staff had accumulated.

How petty can people be? Seriously, people need to respect just how fragile this league can be. While everyone likes to be a fan of a winning team this league needs a competitive base with financial stability in all the cities. I have been around this league long enough and been involved when teams fold in mid season, teams abort remaining home games and finish their season on the road. I hope ultimately we are all fans and supporters of a strong and stable CFL in 2018. Happy New Year.

Burris and Trevor Harris. I am not sure if the distribution of QBs reps at practice is the determining factor. Having a second QB who has shown some element of success when given the opportunity is perhaps a better requirement. How many teams have had aQB play all 18 games?

If it turns out to be Crowton, Mack will have driven another franchise into the dark ages. Both are living proof that bull **** baffles brains.....they talk the talk but have no concept of the CFL and what works.

Gary Crowton seriously......LaPo got strong armed by Mack into hiring Crowton as OC. If Crowton is in Mtl for an interview it is Mack’s influence again. People in this league just don’t do their homework.

Well sports fans...I was there spent countless hours in the office at that time working there and witnessed hours and hours of Campbell coaching Nelson up of defensive schemes and starategy. So seeing it first hand ....

It’s interesting to see people throw around names as potential coaching candidates. I am curious as to how they know anything about their actual qualifications as good coaches? Former good players is not necessarily a indicator as transitioning into qualified coaches. The interesting thing about someone like Mark Nelson is when he was with Winnipeg he worked hard as an understudy to Campbell who in reality was the true DC. But people's perception is their reality.

You can have a number of legit all stars who become victims of a couple of weak links.....specifically a MLB

Hire good people....who gives a hoot about titles? People who fail to hire qualified staff or want to micro mange staff don’t always succeed. Any MBA program will teach you to hire people smarter than you and they will make you look good and be successful.

My only true fear now with the retirement of Glenn Johnson is that his replacement is Jake Ireland. The old be careful what you wish for.

Starting the schedule early was tried a number of years ago.....and it was a disaster. It was shown that for whatever reason....interest and attendance increased at or around Labour Day....fans believe football to be a true fall sport.

For man coverage to be safe and effective you require a front that can apply quick and constant pressure on a qb. Without that pressure it is difficult for the DBs to maintain man coverage for a sustained period of time.
