  1. Might be safe to say that apart from Cortez others are likely going to wait and see what shakes out in Edm and Sask.
  2. And a pass rush and o line.....on your Christmas list Santa?
  3. Maas at least demonstrated variety and creativity in his offence. Not years of the 2nd and 10yd 6 yd out or 5 yd hitch screen that has been the steady diet here.
  4. Continuity has produced 2 disastrous seasons....continuity should produce progress.
  5. The dominos will start to fall into place after the Chris Jones situation plays out in Sask.
  6. Why do people want to be HC and GM? Because if you do both there are no discussions or disputes about personnel. It is that simple. So it will be interesting to see if Chris Jones goes to Sask for that reason and see how Huff and Dickerson transition into their new roles.
  7. Patience is all well and good when it is handd out with the other P word....progress. What is the true measure of progress with this team?
  8. And if the team's record is a reflection of that voice what message does that send?
  9. Not sure what qualifies as "stabilizing here" ?
  10. And u think they would ever really say the game wasn't sold out? Welcome to marketing 101 at the Asper school of business.
  11. People need to remember there was an experiment that started the season earlier. The conclusion was that attendance didn't pick up until after Labour Day as people deemed the fall as football season. They then revered back to the later start.
  12. Berry might have been a decent assistant but failed as a HC. He lacked the people skills needed to relate to players and with staff.
  13. Guessing business sense says you don't fire people until you have the replacement locked up with a deal . Hopefully even the Bombers could figure that out.
  14. Sad state if MOS hires LaPo so he doesn't have to hire Khari.
  15. LaPo as OC....seriously? Another exhaustive search for the best possible candidate comes to an end? More like a crash and burn.
  16. You still have to factor in the lost revenue when the game's capacity was significantly reduced. Lower prices for tickets while obtaining maximum capacity plus additional ancillary revenue from concessions and other sources. The fact that the game was not a pre sellout at a reduced capacity should indicate that pricing was perhaps out of line.
  17. How about we just hope for a great game for the sake of the CFL
  18. 45,000 last time Winnipeg hosted and aren't sold out yet at a significantly reduced capacity.
  19. Jones went to a brutal team in a Edm so He might love the challenge of being HC and GM in Sask? Why not?
  20. The challenge for any and all aspects of the sports and entertainment business is competition for people's disposable income. People want perceived value for their entertainment dollars. There will always be a core of dedicated football fans but the other segment of the market. will deteriorate as people see other entertainment options when they deem better entertainment.
  21. If you look back historically the semi final games have been a tough sell in a number of markets. Especially since the blaking out of games was started.
  22. The Jets are like the Oilers. They have both shown they can draft and develop good young players but will they be able to keep them or can they attract or spend for front line franchise players?
