I know Paul Jones and he works as a contract person who wants to reside in the U.S. He wants to spend as little time in Canada as possible for tax reasons. He has it figured out, it worked in Winnipeg and in Edmonton.

excellent article.. Lawless... CFL needs to protect quarterbacks
DR. CFL replied to Mark F's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There is no question the decline in the quality of the CFL the past 2 seasons is due to injuries to QBs. What rules do you think are actually going to provide QBs a greater element of protection? Implementing no blitzing? Wouldn't that significantly reduce QB pressure. Perhaps mandating that teams must play 4 nationals on the o line. Seriously the biggest reason for QB injuries? Sadly is inferior quality of National o linemen trying to block superior pass rushers and blitzers. I truly hasten to alter the ratio as to me it is part of the game that makes and keeps it true to our country. And we all seem to love the chess games and success of a pressure defence. Good luck CFL. -
So now we are going to deal Miller getting too much power ?

You hire someone to do a job. That person then does a poor job of hiring someone....who then does a poor job of hiring a HC who is responsible and then who do you fire? The Bomber answer is you fire no one. There is some real logic now. Get ready to live it Bomber fans.

Does logic dictate that if the BoD hired Miller and Miller hires Walters that you describe as a puzzler is the BoD then indirectly responsible for Walters being hired?

Penton is getting an early start on his annual survey. Guessing the response from here will be significant. Anxious to see the results.

I too do not live in Winnipeg any more so have limited print media access. I get 10 sun articles a month free and that is it. I'm guessing that because FP is now charging it might be a copyright infringement to copy and paste articles on our site. That would be a huge benefit.

I know a former football person who had a conversation with Bob Irving. Irving says that the three amigos will be back as well.

They ran Higgins out of Edm for some questionable calls and obviously Mtl had some of the same.

At one point the BoD was there for oversight and their apparent business experience. Then some of them decided they needed to be more hands on. They really should be like a company BoD more governance then any real interference. Like all things some perhaps have their own personal agenda. The opposite of it is being at the whim of a singular private owner I guess. That too has it's risks.

Not sure where and how the notion of cheap still circulates. The football ops staff has been significantly expanded. Some coaches don't even choose to interview here for other reasons. It never even gets to money.

PJ was actually a player agent. Cal Murphy liked his players so much he recruited as his Player Personnel guy. Pretty solid find.

Could our coaching staff be crazy enough to.....
DR. CFL replied to bb1's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Management and coaching staff....be that as it may need to consider who...if any one on the pr with more than a contract for 2015 they want to activate so that they remain under contract for 2016. Hopefully someone has explained that to them. -

Those numbers aren't cumulative. They are based on the final outcome.

It was 16k winner and 8k loser from the CBA.

MOS: list strengths & weaknesses, good & bad
DR. CFL replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Will listing the pros and cons actually influence people's opinion of MOS on this website? I am skeptical of that. It might be simpler to have people simply weigh in on a poll. You know the Sun will do their annual one at the end of the season. -

Fed Up Fan: $5 dollars to get rid of a ticket?

Progress and development can pro lay be measured in a variety of ways. As Penton said in his Insider today. Can you truly say that this team is getting better however you choose to measure it? -

The clean cut look really seems to be working for the Maple Leafs that their GM "recommends" hasn't it. -
The Next Step to Excitement: Change the Safety Touch
DR. CFL replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Didn't they move the kickoff back to the 25 yd line to further discourage teams from giving up a safety. It seems to me that this has somewhat reduced the number conceited by teams has it not? -

I think unfortunately people have become frustrated and impatient and as you say when it is hard work, impatience and frustration usually win out. -
That was an argument for Steele making an objective decision about where he might play. I understand he is from Winnipeg and we know geography can be a huge influence on where a player plays but there are other factors that players weigh in as well.
