Patience has to be parcelled with progress. Since the new regime has been here has improvement and progress been seen in all aspects: personnel, especially QB depth, game management decisions, offensive progression and production? Granted some of these things don't necessarily always translate in wins but things seem to be stagnant now. There needs to be an evaluation as to why and what needs to be done to correct it.

There was no succession plan after a Cal, as good of a coach as he was he was a dictator. Urban would have been a good coach...but it was Cal's team and was going to remain that way. The BoD said it was time for him to go and then took it upon themselves to hire after that. We felt the pain of that. People then talk about the Ritchie firing....people didn't know that Ritchie had some significant health issues at that time. It was recommended that he step down for his own health and well being. Unfortunately he was too stubborn and refused. The decision was made to relieve him and continue to pay him for his own good.

No put now that the blame game has started it is every man for himself....ultimately people now start looking over their shoulders and wonder who is next..be it staff, players anyone. Short term motivator....maybe...long term?

Open question for MBBers - direction of the franchise
DR. CFL replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Any management team that makes a statement "promise" like that never should have been hired. The absolute first rule in sports management marketing is you sell one thing and one thing only HOPE. You can not guarantee or promise anything but that. -
I guess the question is who if any of Brown, Morley, Westwood are more credible ?
-
Interesting you fire the driver and at the same time acknowledge that the horses he was driving were lame.
-
Goalie your assessment of Brown is dead on the mark. You have him pegged to a T. Brown is and has always been all about himself.
-
Ideal punt placement between the numbers and the sidelines, good placement between the hash and the sideline.....LH placement long and down the middle....see if that gets MOS fired next.
-
Maybe if MB was the HC he would get fired sooner
-
The scheme is put people on ST that can tackle........stay in your lane is a cover team scheme....your fancy "schemes" are for the return teams.
-
Maybe he comes to Winnipeg because he knows when his last game will be. Too bad they didn't get the last bye week so they could go home really early.
-
Maybe if the cover teams had more players that could run and tackle he wouldn't have been fired instead of loading them with slap dicks that couldn't make other teams rosters.

[MERGED] Low Down, Rock Bottom (Stone Cold Stunned?)

If he means headed south for the winter early he is spot on. -
That would mean having to admit that perhaps there were some bad hires....opps......can't do that.
-
And did people really expect him to say otherwise? Seriously? That would mean admitting that there were perhaps some serious problems and perhaps even some poor hires......finger pointing only leads to more finger pointing not good for the entire regime.

There are no holidays during the football season except in Winnipeg when everyday seems to be April Fool's -

The so called 3 year plan is simply a ploy to buy himself more time. A plan denotes some element of continued progress as a plan develops. Granted it isn't always measured by wins but progress can be measured by improvement in personnel, performance, the reduction in critical errors, and the ability to recovery from adversity. If he believes we have seen that as a part of his plan he better start planning for his next job. -
Roster ploy? When teams are struggling to find Canadians and replace injured Canadians in a league that has diluted the Canadian talent base by adding another team how is playing extra subpar players become a strategy? You are right this team needs impact players not just warm bodies, sum with barely a pulse.

What Do you expect to Happen Next Week?
DR. CFL replied to sportmentary2012's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Might be too many "ifs" there. -
He is in fact a ratio breaker but we are talking about a team that for whatever reason chooses to start extra Canadians when they don't need to. I am all for being pro Canuck but when you have one country with a pool of 300 million and another with 1/10th of that does it not seem safe to believe you can find more and better qualified employees to play from the pool of 300 million? So let's start with playing 7 quality Canadians first and hope that Henoc's is one of them.

What do you base that prediction on given what we witnessed yesterday. -

Definition of crazy? Repeating the same thing and expecting a different result. -
Well then 00 who do you deem responsible for the current state of affairs at IGF.

I'm sure Bob would love to be more critical of everything questionable in the organization at this time but let's be realistic. He needs to work with these people day in and day out and therefore require a level of cooperation. The columnists from the print media don't necessarily need to maintain that type of relationship to do their jobs.

Brohm....people keep dumping on the guy for his poor this, that and everything else.....what about those who signed him and continue to employ him.......is he the real problem or simply the scab on the bigger sore?
