The reality is someone wins someone losses. You still have to be good enough to get there. The business of sports marketing is selling Hope to Fans. If you are a fan you buy into that hope.

As there is no clear predictor of the effects of significance of a second injury, I like everyone else hopes to hell he doesn't take another hit.

The irony of the qualifying process to be declared a National requires the approval of the CFL and the CFLPA. The PA seems to be more stringent in their declaring someone as a National than the league. This has often resulted in the delay and need for supplemental drafts.

The injure was the injury. If he has passed the medical criteria so be it. The gray area in the issue of brain injuries is the unknown and risks associated with sustaining a second brain injury in close succession to an initial injury. There is no clear indicator or predictor for that. It remains a significant concern in the medical field. That is my point.

I am not disputed the fact that he may have passed a post injury protocol and be cleared to now play. That isn't the issue. Agree or not he was unconscious and was concussed. Whatever happens Friday or in a subsequent game will not alter that fact nor will it change if he is perhaps at a greater risk for second concussion syndrome. The injury is what it is and if he has satisfied the criteria for return to play let him play.

The reason Doug Brown and Stan Mikawos were so effective was they pretty much occupied two blockers freeing up the DT beside them to beat a lineman one on one. I think unless they can duplicate that mismatch it leaves a smaller athletic Turner to be more often double teamed.
