Clearly they needed a body to fill a roster spot might as well get some element of experience with some short yardage ability.

Grigsby' gets it by default as a part from Whitaker no other RB in the east played that much. Bomber kicker maybe could have gone either way. Other wise picks seen pretty reflective of abilities. Not sure what other Bomberplayers have much to argue about.

I still hold to the philosophy that good players make good coaches great. Bad players get good coaches fired. Case in point. Trestmsn and Callvio -now Trestman - Cutler. Another example, DelMonaco - Winnipeg , now DelMonaco - Calgary. All of a sudden our guru O line coach Wylie is just another guy.

It's almost too bad that his NFL HC opportunity came in perhaps one of the most critical cities of all in the NFL. He surely deserves better.

Hard to penalize teams that are still competing from being able to sign players, if they continue to need to fill roster spots due to injury.

Teams out of the playoffs can't sign Nationals until after a date in December.

There needs to be an attempt by the HC and management to improve at both OC and DC. There won't be the mass shuffle of staffs as last year so there should be less competition to solicit and promote from people available on other teams.

I didn't say it was the Lions fault. I said there needs to be an adjustment in the process where by each team is afforded an opportunity to draft Junior players and remove the territorial protection. This is no different than when the territorial protection was removed from CIS players back in the day because of the lack of balance.

So you then think it is equatable for the Lions to have exclusive rights to potentially over 250 players based on them having 4 or 5 teams in BC while Winnipeg has the rights to 50 players? We are not talking about the agreement that allows junior players to be non counter and allowing them to go to TCs. We are doing about teams having equal access to players in a draft.

Because there is a huge inequity in the distribution of Junior teams in Canada there are is ongoing discussions to incorporate Junior players into the CFL draft giving all teams a chance at the improving talents base in Junior football. Can't happen soon enough.

No the strategy is to stop trying to make a predetermination on the ratio and muster a stable of quality Nationals and let them determine the ratio based on their skill and abilities. How tough is that?

It will be interesting to see what the MLLC thinks about this as well as the potential liability if there is a problem. Times have changed and liability and the liquor licence is a huge revenue issue for the Club.

Yes they do but you can have 75 players signed nothing says how many Imports or Nationals there needs to be.

How about we sign every National with a pulse and bring them into TC and then worry about the ratio when we can see who can actually play.

A two year deal on a coaches contract is a two year deal. Unlike player contracts you can't just gun a coach and not pay him.

Maybe solving the o line should be job one...nationals and internationals
