The notion goes back to because someone else or some other team does something that it becomes the standard by which you need to be successful. I'm not sure that is sound business practice whatever that business is.
People have been pretty quick to elevate Neufield to elite, all star status....let him get back on the field then, determine is true ability, as well as equally important his durability.
Perhaps the reason MOS said Swiston would not be back and was released is because as a PR player he wasn't willing to agree on a contract for next season and wanted to become a FA.
Nowhere did I say he didn't want to play....because he has yet to demonstrate the ability to play he has had a cost associated with his being here. In a result based industry he has yet to produce any true value. Next up someone will suggest that this"asset" might be traded for high draft choice. No likely takers.
Don't say he didn't cost anything. He has been on the gravy train since day one and got a game cheque every week he has been here. He and Swiston need a DNA test...they might be twins.
Failed offensive production still doesn't explain opposing teams going on extended offensive drives and chewing up 150 plus yards of rushing per game. Going 2 and out on offence doesn't mean your defence can't turn around and force the opposition into a 2 and out.
We are people throwing names out of former players that have no coaching experience? Former QBs is a different story because there film study and weekly input into game plans has started them on the coaching path.
Not sure Dyce slipped to ST from OC when they had an opportunity to get a well established OC in Cortez they took it. Dyce would certainly be worth consideration as an OC
My last post was a response to Calgary's ability to plug and play players since 2012 that were players on the street. I credit John Murphy for his personnel and scouting work.
Well I will credit Calgary with their draft success...the notion of their veteran line up includes a host of FAs not signed by Winnipeg since way back in 2012.

There are 14 since 2012 Imports from the 46 man last night....
Desjardins got the job yes because he is bilingual and because Dan Rambo was in tight with Hunt in Ottawa and Desjardins had given Rambo a job when he was GM in Hamilton. The even scarier part was Rambo had told Hunt that Mack would have been an excellent choice as a GM in Ottawa. Right after that ridiculous rumour circulated the idiots on the BoD extended Mack's deal in Winnipeg. History does repeat itself especially in bonehead hires in the CFL
The silver lining is you can always switch to an NHL game if football turns into another nightmare at Investors NoGrowth Stadium...or is it Investors Groan Stadium?
Why would Huff trade Tate? We have witnessed this year the cost of not having an experienced viable back up at QB this season in Sask. BC, Edm , Cal and even Ham have had the benefit of depth at QB.
Capabilities of the inserts? If they were capable why haven't they played sooner? Looking at the o line for tonight who is the back up OT if one of them go down? Would you seriously risk Willy having to play behind that group?
