U have to have 2 Nationals on the PR. They will be dragging in bodies off the street. The cruel reality of a shortage of Nationals partially at the expense of adding a team. Regrettably it may only get worse for all teams.

It is my understanding that the Rogers Centre does not meet the requirements for a NFL franchise.

I hope these additions aren't more of the same body types that fit Etch's wish list and scheme. Teams successful against the inside run game have at least one hulking, bruising inside DT as a run stopper who can also collapse the pocket. This team currently is undersized on defence.

Doesn't matter what sport but historically if you are taking a HC job you best be sure it is with a team that has the structure and personnel for you to be successful. It may be your one and only chane if things don't go well. The HC job in Montreal is a death sentence for anyone until they have a legitimate QB.

The collapse of the franchise is not an option, like it or not. The TSN deal would be significantly modified with the loss of Toronto due to the market size in Toronto. Hate TO and the Toronto Sports Network all you like this is a critical problem. The absence of a stadium solution makes someone buying the franchise less than desirable.

Elliott or whoever....sometime players don't fit or are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Case in point Bob Cameron.

As many fans as perhaps haters......what difference does it make. It seems there is a greater support for detractors of players than for supporters.

Elliott had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Trying to work with an OC that had no clue about the CFL. As a result he got labelled not coach able and a malcontent. Knowing Joey he is extremely knowledgable and competitive. Attempts by him to provide input and insight into a non existent offence were seen as a negative. I wish him well and believe that if he doesn't become successful as a player he has the ability, knowledge and potential to be a good coach.

Why does there continue to be the expectation that professional athletes are role models?

It's not like Swiston and Hinse are established as players

Rule changes first have to get based the recommendation of the rules committee comprised of GMs and HCs and then the BOG. It was worth a try.

Players like Banks and Kuale ? Most HCs want the sense of comfort and security afforded by experiences players especially at the QB spot. It doesn't always work out but it seems to be the most common practice

Isn't good enough to start? Because we as a GM of any team: 1) don't want to upgrade our National talent base especially on the o line 2) want to continue to play 3 Internationals on the o line, that are at the best average 3) want to continue to give up 4 sacks a game? 4) want to continue to put a true up and coming QB at risk to a significant injury?

I agree and understand......Based on that hopefully the rule is removed at the end of the season. An attempt to improve the game that has perhaps failed.

Those critical of this move should ask themselves, what does Winnipeg do if Willy goes down for the remainder if the season?

Consistency yes, but the other intent was to challenge calls that may have been missed in real time by obstructed views of the play or plays missed by officials. As with all new rules it may be removed or tweaked as it is deemed necessary

So that prevents Hamilton from shopping a player to other teams?

When TSN has the advertising revenue that the NFL networks do perhaps the game production will improve to an equal level. Perhaps the solution is simply turn the sound down and watch the game.
