I think the bigger concern is their lack of depth. Greaves being injured forced the ratio to 3 Imp OL, playing an import guard is not the best way to utilize the ratio. Not sure what the scenario is if another OL goes down.

Any word on Greaves' injury status?

Not convinced Leggett was a whole lot better than Fraser. As for what people are faulting Fraser on for that last blitz, the commentator did suggest he had cover responsibility on Grigsby delaying out of the backfield.

Banks shows up back in Winnipeg they have to remove him from the suspended list and pay him for the game. The old days the teams had 10 days to recondition players before having to take them off the list. Somebody coached Banks up and told him he had to get back to Winnipeg.

It's not as if he lit it up in the first game?

Unfortunately the NFL feeder system just got enhanced by the elimination of the option year clause. At least when the NFL window was there you had a chance of getting a layer back for his option year.

I am curious how people seem to randomly declare someone as a "leader" when they have no real knowledge as to what if any leadership qualities they actually have? A leader might be best determined with the the qualities they display on and off the field.....it doesn't mean those with the biggest month.

Well if you want to do a historical analysis of a body of work include his successful years with other teams. What are your expectations for a defence when time of possession dictates that the defence is on the field for an unbalanced extra 15 min. a game?

One of the challenges faced by the Jets in trade discussions is apart from acquiring trade choices there are too many NHL millionaires with no trade clauses that will declare Winnipeg " a no fly zone" when it comes to agreeing on a trade. Sad when the inmates run the prison.

Interesting how emotions always seem to override objectivity. How many of those stupid penalties did Burke take? Do you really expect a laced with CFL inexperienced players that have had little or no time playing together to all of a sudden jelly into a cohesive unit? Seriously? Credit to the Bombers and their outstanding preparation and performance, but do we expect that Burke defence to perform like that for the duration of the season?

I give him credit for recognizing and looking at the big picture. Realizing that an opportunity to stay involved in something he loved with a greater potential for possible longer term employment. Good luck to him!

The Jet/ Mosse organization historically has had little tolerance for players off ice conduct. Something people need to realize may add fuel to the speculation of a Kane trade.

Prepare as a starter and the HC just prays he doesn't have to play you.....the reality of a team with limited depth.

I think declaring a single individual as having the sole responsibility for a poor season is an over simplification. There are a multitude of factors that can contribute to a losing season. But people here seem to love to play the blame game. To what end ?

Good players make good coaches great. Bad players get good coaches fired.

Not only did Burke inherit a team lacking in talent but he also got stuck with a green CFL coaching staff held over from LaPo's bad hires. First and foremost was an OC with no clue. A recipe for failure. Don't take a HC job just to be a HC. Make sure the situation and circumstances are right and you have the control in players and staffing to give you the best chance of success. Clearly that was not the case for Burke in Winnipeg. He realized it so give him a break.

Sisco must have cried injured and they decided to eat the 6 game rather than face an injury grievance. An old vet trick when u get cut.

This is the entertainment business. If people don't think access and promotion isn't a critical aspect of the business then they should figure it out.

And Romby only has to beat out Kelly....tall order that is.
