  1. Would have made more sense to bring inParis Jackson....at leasthe is a national.
  2. And the perception still seems to be quantity equals quality....why is that?
  3. Scheme my pass rush....u can't convince me that Laurent can't push the pocket. I would say that fits any BS scheme.
  4. They can always paper the place to fill it up like the old days.
  5. Game dates and start times are dictated by TSN. Just the way it is when you pay the big bucks you set the schedule.
  6. Who is lining up as the field WR?
  7. People continue to dump on Etienne. Why is that? He was a converted kicker who had played maybe just over a season as a CIS receiver. After his first TC he should have been sent back to the CIS to PLAY and continue to develop. Not his fault. My take is the jury is still out on him.
  8. And DBs getting to many LB jobs gets the ball run down your throat.
  9. Really? Other teams haven't played there second preseason game and final cutdown is June 21st.
  10. The back up RB historically will be IMP RB that is a returner.
  11. The Nationals are laughing now. Count heads on the roster and the rest of the nationals make the squad by default. The sad reality league wide of simply not enough quality nationals to supply a 9 team league.
  12. Everyone has a plan and at the end of the season only one plan was successful...the sad reality of pro sports.
  13. Scanning the other teams' rosters as of today and not factoring in injuries to Newman and Lucas Winnipeg and BC have the fewest NIPs. That is sheer numbers never mind quality. I would suggest they camp someone out in Sask to scout their NIPs as they are tops with 42 and may have to part with the most.
  14. I think this team will be hard pressed to keep enough NIP to fill the roster in a few games. I hope they keep as many around as possible. With the expanded active rosters and shortened 6 game injured list other teams aren't going to put many of their NIPs on the street.
  15. I gave the Sask example of an undersized ill equipped DB playing SAM as only a tip of the issue of that team being poor against the run. The other contributing concerns there and here are this team has already been somewhat undersized on defense in the past few years. Especially the front 7. Look at other teams fronts and most have at least one big heavy weight up front that can push the pocket and occupy multiple blocks.....someone in the 290 LB. range. I am concerned that if Etch has too many of his style ( size) guys on the roster this team will again have a serious issue stopping the run.
  16. Historically Etch has used undersized personal in his defense sand had difficulty stopping the run. He may have been the innovator of the SAM as a DB/LB. His mistake in Sask with that was moving Vincent Donaldson, a true corner who was shy about tackling into that spot. Teams exploited that and ran up and down all over them. It is early but a fear of it here lingers.
  17. Don't be too quick to gun NIPs. They are in short supply and in a diluted pool of talent across the league.
  18. Hall has the luxury of a short preseason with limited playing time for all. He was here last season and has the most familiarity with the scheme and the CFL. He should look the best this early of the back ups. Don't mistake that with him being the best of them or having the most potential of them all.
  19. Why worry? The reps and the PA are the elite of the membership. Not the grassroots grunts at the bottom. The saving grace for the membership is 8 of the 9 teams voting include rookies who should be thrilled with their immediate benefits. I would be more concerned about a rejection vote if the rookies were totally excluded.
  20. ISO......I understand, appreciate and respect your sentiments.
  21. Montreal likely has no intention of paying Worman out. They may have "cause" and if Worman chooses to challenge it in court he can accept possible disclosure if there was in fact cause for dismissal.
  22. In some circles someone's word would constitute a deal. I guess if third party knowledge means knowing the individuals that have spoken to both Walby and Worman you are correct it is third hand but not a rumour as some people seem to choose to believe. It makes no difference to me. But I am not sure the purpose of calling into question someone's credibility serves? If you care to review my posts anything I believe , speculate about, have an opinion about or know is a rumour is stated as such.
  23. What took u so long? What purpose would it serve for me to make either of those things up? You are right...none. You can think what you like. I deal in facts and what would you take has proof that would satisfy you? Name the people that were involved in these conversations with both Walby and Worman? Sorry I can't and won't throw them under the bus. So again believe what you like.
  24. And you probably believe Miller never asked Walby if he wanted to help coach the o line? You can believe what u choose. I know both the Walby and Worman deals to be true.
  25. Well isn't that funny....because Miller denies it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Worman had numerous conversations dating back to last August when Miller took over. I know from people who have spoken to Worman personally.
