Many were up in arms when BT traded the first overall pick for Alex Gauthier an established nip OT. The projected first overall pick was a nip OL Rempel....a player that ultimately was a complete flop. So make fun all you like the guy just won the Cup.

You trade for two players that have played in the CFL and you know exactly what you are getting. And you give up the ever popular POTENTIAL. Gee maybe you lost out on another Swiston or Pencer...heaven forbid. Just because some team at one point or another might cut or trade a player doesn't mean they don't fill a need elsewhere. Ottawa requested one of their byes for week one. Given they are virtually starting a team from ground zero they wanted the extra preparation time. Sadly the Bombers got the last bye week. Wally won't overpay for players that is and always been one of his strengths. If you overpay for even one player you drive up the expectations for all the players. You need to hold to a pay schedule and not let or get emotional about the "business" of football.
