  1. Oof no surprise here, O’Shea taking it easy on his alma matter as expected. Not to mention how upset he is about Kevin Glen’s broken arm!
  2. Streveler wouldn’t have fumbled that pass!
  3. Great, and now Nichols completes a deep pass to Lawler knowing damn well he’d fumble it. goddamn ham n egger!
  4. Argos dominating in time of possession. MBT has EIGHT TIMES as many yards as Nichols. Smh
  5. Yeah it’s crazy how many picked BC as contenders this year too. I actually think Montreal will make the playoffs ahead of Sask too.
  6. You know, several people managed to disagree with me without resorting to sarcasm. So much for reasonable discourse.
  7. Is this available for sale?
  8. Hence why I said “situational awareness”. I imagine he knew what the play call was and was aware as to where they were on the field. I’m curious, if that was the game winning touchdown and we would have lost with it being called back, would you still find the thought that he should’ve been aware of the situation so incredulous? I’m guessing we’d all be a little less forgiving. To be very clear, I’m happy we have o-linemen who like to play on the edge; that was just the wrong time to do it and luckily it didn’t cost us. I feel like this is a very reasonable opinion. Not everyone on this site is fishing for an argument.
  9. Sure, if we’re fine with the nasty play to set the tone then fair enough, but at least have some situational awareness. Do that on 2nd a 20 when we’ve called a screen and the play doesn’t matter. Not when we’re in the red zone and the first read is over the middle for a TD.
  10. Agreed about Bryant and Hardrick but Hardrick has to play smarter. He took two really bad penalties last game, one that took away a touchdown and another that took away a first down. The fact that we still scored on that drive is why no one is talking about that dumb first penalty. That said, it did add to our TOP 😆
  11. I said it before and I’ll say it again, Jacked Galifianakis.
  12. Happy for Khari and Bobby Gorgeous! If it was ever up for debate (it wasn’t) Montreal is definitely better than Toronto. Considering they beat the cats and made a game of it against the Eskimos, I’m very curious to see how they match up against the Riders. That rule change is definitely dumb, but I’m glad that a game most expected to be a blowout ended up being competitive! Should have a couple more good ones this weekend. Also, I can’t remember the last time so many mediocre QBs were starting at the same time...

  14. Will we ever see Mo Leggett again? He never was the same after he returned from injury, but did he really go from being dominant to worse than even what’s montreal and Toronto have on their roster because of that injury?
  15. Assuming Arbuckle isn’t the second coming, I think Sask is going to beat Calgary next week. Also, big victory for Toronto this week is that they only gave up half as many points as last week! Huzzah!
  16. Reilly also missed a wide open Carter on the first play of the final drive of the game, possibly a go ahead touchdown. Instead he underthrew it giving the defender time to catch up, something that Nichols would’ve been ripped apart for on here. I think Reilly is a great QB, but it seems that some here put on blinders to the mistakes that other teams make. I watch every single one of these games, and I’m confident in saying that the Bombers, with Nichols at the helm, would’ve beaten both of those teams last night. On Thursday, Nichols had three deep passes. One to Matthews was called back because of a penalty. One to Adams resulted in PI so we got the yards, but they didn’t count on Nichols’ stat sheet. And the one to Lucky we all celebrated. That’s another 100 yards in passing that wasn’t counted on his statsheet, as no fault to him, that people just choose to ignore, much like people ignore Reilly’s mistakes last night. Let’s not even get started on Bo Levi and his unbelievable contract. You’d really rather have that guy for $900k or whatever the hell it is? Would our team be better with Reilly or Mirchell as QB? NO, because we would have to lose several of our best players to make it happen. Reilly’s team missed the playoffs last year and is 0-3 this year. Until the salary cap is lifted, you can’t just build a team with one player. I’ll take our team, the team that beat the second best team in the west on Thursday, and the team that almost beat Calgary last night. And in terms of the last two times both Nichols and Streveler played Edmonton last year? Nichols won in a blowout, Streveler lost. I 100% thinks streveler is our future QB, but Nichols is the present and I’m more than ok with that since we’re the only team not willing to mortgage our future on one guy. Thank god Walters is our GM.
  17. Reilly did play very well, but he also threw a pick 6 that was called back because of something that had nothing to do with the throw, and two plays prior had another one almost picked. He also failed to get his team in the end zone to end the first half and had a couple redzone opportunities turn into field goals. Team game obviously, but despite the numbers there was plenty to criticize. BC let Calgary hang around (much like we did with Edmonton the other night) and Calgary took advantage of it.
  18. My point more has to do with some anointing Arbuckle as one of the top QBs in the league based on two drives in one game against a terrible defence. To your point, in two years if Arbuckle has done nothing (or won a TON of games but not thrown for the requisite amount of yardage to make fans happy) then we’ll look back on this game as not being proof that he’s a star, but simply a flash in the pan.
  19. Yeah I was there too, amazing game. You’re right about us being down by 12, but I just checked, we’ll under a min left. 0:44 when Nichols throws the first TD. https://www.cfl.ca/2017/07/28/recap-winnipeg-41-montreal-40/
  20. It’s pretty much what happened in the Bombers/Als game in 2017, although we were down by 13 with 58 seconds left I believe. Can’t remember who our QB was, obviously wasn’t Nichols cause from everything I’ve read he’s not a QB that can win games in those situations. Oh I remember, it was Arbuckle! Congrats on the Lions for their 300+ passing yards last night! Second win of the season for them!
  21. Rakeem Kato
  22. But how many yards did he pass for?
  23. For sure there’s concerns. Luckily the Grey Cup is in November so there’s plenty of time to work those kinks out. I’ve watched every game played by every team this season and my takeaway is that ALL of the teams have things to be concerned about. I would argue that every other team actually has more to be concerned about than the Bombers. The great thing is that we seem to be able to win while still working on those concerns, something that only Ottawa and Hamilton can also say now.
  24. Just trash. Wins only count if they’re blowouts. If only football was a team game.
