Must be fall, because all I seem to do is watch Jets/Bombers and binge TV shows I started s1 of The Leftovers over the weekend. It's a pretty somber show, won't be a pick me up for you. Interesting nonetheless. Randomly one day, 160M people, or 2% of the Earth's population just straight up vanish. The series opens 3 years to the day from "the disappearance". ....some might say it's what the real world needs right now....a lot less ppl!

That does look good. Did you ever watch Hell on Wheels? I was really into seasons 1 & start of 2 then I just forgot about it. May have to revisit it to prep for Godless.

Sadly a good portion of our population is dimmer than Moe Szyslak and probably actually believe that.

Alls I know is they're playing a matinee as we speak for some reason? Just caught part of it on 1290.

Binged a couple shows over the weekend... Nearly done with s1 of Mindhunter. Reading reviews online, some think the writing is too convenient at times. I really like it. Though the main character Holden Caufield or whatever his last name is, is kinda phony. I'm a sucker for shows that dramatize real events / stories. One of the better recent takes on the age old "cop and bad guys" show. I'm always almost done watching the UK's Black Mirror but can't really do more than 1 ep a day. Such a mindf&#( kind of show....so if that's your thing, check it out! The cast is not reoccuring, and each episode has a different storyline, so it's unique for sure. Season 2's White Christmas episode with Jon Hamm is a great one to start off with.

Why not both. I agree Carter's got serious mental issues at worst, massive egomaniac at best. He needs help. That said, this is 2397423rd controversy type thing since Saviour Jones took over, they deserve everything they get and then some. -
Not a bad period. Chances both ways. I like the refs keeping the whistles away.

Was just about to say. I change stations everytime Rod's on 1290. -
It's on Corydon at Lilac?!? Are they new? I lived a block away on Dorchester last year and didn't notice these guys...

As a Packers fan I wish they would sign Kaep. For a few reasons; 1 ) I really appreciate his story. The haters either seem unaware or simply ignore all the GOOD this guy has been doing. Football be damned, the guy's a good human. 2 ) Admittedly not overly familiar with Hundley, but I have to think Kaepernick gives you a better chance to win. Could very well be wrong about that, but boy he seems like a strong fit, scheme wise with GB. Why it won't happen: where to start?! My #1 point above, no NFL team cares about. Rightly or wrongly, no one's giving the guy a job because he's a good guy. Heck, he's probably more likely to be blackballed because he has an opinion. Bigger point though is it's just not in Green Bay's DNA to make a move like this. Forget all the sidestory with Kaep, just look at GB's history in free agency under McCarthy. They draft well and build in house. FA signees are the rare exception, not the norm for this team. What I hope isn't a factor: The Packers are in Wisconsin. Talking out of my bum here, but this fanbase may be among the "whitest" in North America. Packers decision makers aren't dumb. Even if they want Kaep as a Packer, the optics would be terrible in that state. I don't agree with any of that, but it's reality IMO. -
Well friends, I splurged last week. Got myself a SteamTeam android box. Finally gettin' with the times, geeez. So early review: seemingly a really solid product. Works just as advertised right out of the box. Kodi, Netflix and a few other apps pre-installed. Canadian company with real strong customer support history. Now I just have to get to all those shows I've missed.... May need to book some time off work

Lots to digest for a Tuesday night game in mid-October! The Jets likely won't mind....but what's with this schedule? **** we all complained when we played TOO MUCH last season....now it's game on, 2 days off, game on. Craziness. Hope Pau Mau is taking advantage of all this practice time. Tonight.... is this Jets Fans online favourite lineup?!? No Perreault sucks, and I think we all like Lowry in the lineup somewhere (4th line). But Connor in. Lemieux in. Poolman in. Not many guys left for the haters to pick on Good test tonight. CLB is a hell of a team.

Interested to see how many Bomber jerseys are in the crowd Saturday.

I respect Kypreos more for his Leafs career than his broadcasting career.

When they got the rights I hoped for at least an upgrade to their personnel. That hasn't happened. Even now, I like the TSN crew / panel better for both entertainment and insight vs. Sportsnet. Dreger, McKenzie, Duthie, Ferraro.... these guys are the best in the biz. Evanka Os....? led Sportsnet a couple nights ago asking if the Leafs would visit the White House next year. Pitt having just visited + we all know how the media views the Leafs = understandable. Except for the bloody obvious fact that the Leafs play in Toronto, Canada. If they win a Cup I'm pretty sure they'd visit Ottawa! It's a little thing. But there's numerous other examples. Sportsnet just blows. VERY fortunate to have tickets to the doubleheader tomorrow, so I won't be subjected to Rogers' garbage. Now, how much of the Jets game I miss....that's very much in question lol.

'cuz it's not about who's better. Dregs said the elite of the elite are looking at 16% of the team's cap for an AAV. Don't quote me on that, but it's around there. So given the cap's likely to up again, and McDavid signed for slightly below Dreger's threshold, boom, there's how you end up paying more for Matthews. the better debate is whether team's should be giving 1/6 of their cap to one guy. Dangerous trend, IMO.
