Good post. Though I'd say the bolded applies to what, 85% of pro football teams out there and all but maybe 2 CFL teams? QBs who are good enough to start, will start somewhere. The Aaron Rodgers scenario is few & far between. Blue are in good shape with their #2 and #3, IMO. Decent mix of CFL experience & pedigree, and with Davis, still some potential untapped I figure.

This is where I'm at too. I like Nichols, really do. And moreso, I think he's accomplished virtually all we could have reasonably expected when he took over for Willy. I don't see why he can't be a Grey Cup Champion in the near future; the pieces are there & he's got the leadership and intangibles, without question. I don't doubt Nichols elite status for the quality he brings. Time will tell if he has the ability to shoulder a team, when it matters most, and come out with a W. CFL is a 9 team league, so IMO that means to be elite out of only 9 starting QB's, you need playoff success. Whether that's fair or not on QBs, well that's another debate.

okay, but this is a great show to revive. I'd love to hear Hank and co.'s take on America version 2017. The whole cast (minus Brittany Murphy, of course) did a live read of "Husky Bobby" at SF Sketchfest in January. Easily one of the funniest things I've seen live & up close. The cast is high-larious, and I think all in attendance felt their camaraderie.

Who has the rights? A look at how streaming services are confusing viewers *loose definition of "shortly" IMO. Netflix Canada shows that currently air on US networks take forrrrever to get here.

I'd expect Buffalo to get a long-term deal done with Eichel, at least that's the smart play. This is the NHL. You don't drag your feet with young star, potentially superstar talents, that you've drafted yourself. The dude's 20 and is a PPG guy already. You sign a bridge, what benefit do you expect? Couple extra $M each season in cap? The safety net in case he suddenly falls off the map? Not worth ticking off your franchise guy, IMHO.

As much as I live to watch every game...summer is fleeting. I'll be with the 1/2 of Wpg heading out of town tonight. #islendingadagurinn If this season's taught us anything about the Blue thus far, it's that we should expect a high scoring, close game. Bombers are 14-9 in their last 23 games. If we keep winning 61% of our games, how in gawd's green earth can you argue with that?

Just finished s1 of Ozark last night. Must say, pleasantly surprised. Pretty stellar cast. I've liked Bateman since he was a Bluth, and Laura Linney is fantastic as well. Just overall, entertaining, well written & acted show. Just bummed I went thru it too quick :/

Off topic... Does anyone know how to access the interactive seat map on ticketmaster for IGF, as opposed the "find me seats" crap feature? I think this came up recently, but I couldn't remember where.

OK first, still need to dig out the old hockey cards, haven't gotten around to it.... Now you've reminded of a whole other set of goodies to search for! My childhood intro to Bomber football at the old stadium was sitting 4 rows from the field, right beside the visitor's dressing room. Man, the memories down there! Coaches smoking at halftime, belligerent fans yelling at the opponents. I was lucky enough to score gloves, towels & even a chin strap (lol!) from some of the greats; Damon Allen, Tracy Ham, Mike Pringle, Allen Pitts. I still remember Garcia and co. bringing the Cup right past us to their dressing room in '98.

There's also Brew at the Zoo in September. Sounds like a good time.

The parity, or lackthereof, between divisions is striking yet again. Eskies look like world beaters now, let's see what they're like against the west.
