My best recent one was bumping into Kyle Wellwood's parents in Tampa in 2012. Mom and I were there to see friends and catch a game that February. So there's the group of 6 of us walking downtown Tampa en route to the rink when we catch 2 other Jets clad fans on the same sidewalk right behind us. We slowed down kinda, let them catch up, made some small talk. "Oh cool, you came all the way here just to see the Jets?!" the couple remarked to me. When I asked if they were doing the same they said not really, they were there to watch their son play. So there's me going from straight excitement and intrigue; "soooo cool! Who's your son?!". Kyle Wellwood. "oh.....uhh....right on! One of my faves!" To this day I wonder if my face showed the truth. I didn't care much for their son.

Big fan of the Hammer's work. Course I graduated from the same highschool a couple years after him, so a little biased. Him and Bauming are best up-and-comers on the Bomber beat.

I'm a sucker for well-reviewed shows that are easy to binge watch. This fits the bill perfectly. Hilarious, authentic, well written & acted. Great theme song....humming it every day this week. Shameless..... Anyone else a fan?! I finally picked it up for the first time & just finished season 1. For sure one of those shows that has me going, "what took me so long!".

Mostly just reiterating what others have said..... but best wishes to Richie & his family. Life - is far more important than sports. Here's to hoping whatever is going on turns out okay.

For as few details as we know already, seems like lots of unnecessary bellyaching to me. The only connection this new league has to the CFL is ownership and use of stadiums. Since they don`t directly impact one another, fear over potential impacts on the Bombers seems silly. If anything, a venture like this is far less risk because of what the Bombers already employ in-house. I for one would welcome pro soccer to Wpg. I don`t follow it nearly as close as I do football and hockey, but you know what, the atmosphere at games rivals any form of entertainment. Not just in Europe anymore, either. I watched Toronto FC`s run to the MLS Cup last year, and that was just plain fun sports to watch & fans were unbelievable. I`d love to see a TFC game in the Big Smoke. This new league would obviously be a tier below the MLS in quality, but maybe they can sell the Canadiana of it and sell a decent amount of tickets. My thinking is the season would be quite short. If you`re starting late summer, early fall you`re not leaving much time before snow comes.

I woke up today feeling guilty for even making it an issue with my Jets rep. At the end of the day, it's sports! Supposed to be fun for pete's (catan) sake. Messaged her and said in hindsight it was never a big deal and apologized if I made it seem so. Any fan, of any team, can choose to go or not go to games. Im going to use this as another motivator to try and quit finally.

Well, I'm not too pleased about it. Hey, I get it's 2017, last thing I should expect as a smoker is special rules. I like that we're moving past that in society. It's time. My only issue is why couldn't they announce this, oh say a couple months ago, when Sales Reps were hounding us for new Ticket Purchase Agreements & payment confirmations? Of course I'd never give up my seat because I can't go for a smoke anymore, but it would have been nice to know. Looking over my TPA in detail, amazing how ticket holders are bound to whatever new policies TNSE decides to inact, regarding anything, at anytime. I've already messaged my rep asking them to please refrain from a "No Jimmy Pop's" policy.

Glad I wasn't the only one who found that comment perplexing. It's as easy as taking a gander at what CFL players & media are saying about his move.

Really, really unfortunate. Best connections in the city, and I don't think there's even a close 2nd. Any big sports news, particularly the 2 best leagues; NHL & CFL, Gary is the guy I go to for an opinion. H&L has been in fine form for some time, but really enjoyed the show the last 12 months. Big loss. That stings, Vegas.

Best punishment: league needs to keep Riders running business as usual. Force them to continue to live & work in Regina. Make them "proudly" display their 4 Cup titles. Have your social media crew continue to pump Jones as the second coming of Lomardi. ....it's Sask. It's the Riders. It's Jones. << They punish themselves just fine.
