Frankly, the Jets are a team that should overpay for A+ coaching. Get it, and get it at any cost. I'm fairly okay with how a lot of our roster looks now in year 6 - but that don't mean shite if they can't win games. If TNSE is all about process and this season is a continuation of the bigger picture *insert more Chevy speak* yadda yadda yadda - what do we do if we're still lousy by American Thanksgiving 2017? Another process building year, rinse and repeat for 2018?

Hearing Lawless on H&L all week talking as if it's a foregone conclusion Maurice is re-upped is maddening! I'm not all anti-Maurice or anything, I just can't for the life of me see why it's a sin to suggest coaching may be an issue in this town.

I find it hard to believe we'd have a shot at signing Julien anyways. He's been a top tier coach for long enough, I don't think he'd have to "settle" for small market prairie hinterland team that perennially misses the playoffs.

Tbh I'm just shocked at how surprised the hockey media seems to be about the change. ...I mean it's a pretty common belief is it not Julien > Therrien. I guess the timing's throwing people off. I for one applaud a team for making a *sensible move to improve team midseason and not chalk it up to a lost season.

He's not getting younger and sure as hell isn't getting better. Yet he's trotted out anyways. That's infuriating to me.

Jets will probably fight back in the 2nd, make it a game. Pavs will make an outstanding save or two. Those will be referenced later as timely saves in a close game. He'll give up another softie or two and we lose by 1.

Honestly, I've gotten to the point where I'd rather hear Maurice less rather than more. His penchant for non-speak, from the school of Chevy, is downright irritating and insulting. I think it's one thing to sound distinguished when answering another person's failures (when he took over from Noel) vs. when those failure's become your own. This is his team now, and we're pretty bad. And I'm not hearing much in the way of solutions. Actually, one better: I'm not hearing much in the way of there being a problem. Literally just now chatting with a coworker and we're talking about how virtually no one in this organization is visibly upset when they lose.

That's actually not a bad idea. 17km trip home would be a nice challenge after some coldos.

Hey now, speak for yourself. I don't own any property outside the city and I fully support Thurs games in the summer over Saturday night, especially. Friday's are a good middle ground. Saturday games in the summer mean your weekend completely revolves around football - hey, not complaining! But some of us NEED some nature in the summer to counter hibernating all winter.
