  1. I mean, it wouldn't have anything to do with, I don't know, her work or professionalism or contacts made in the industry. Must be the nudes.
  2. Olivia Munn?! Ok - I'll watch.
  3. I just heard Wayne say he almost was a Jet...and that Hull tried hard to make it happen. Lordy how different our franchises would be today...
  4. With most things, I say "never say never"....but never will anyone catch Gretz. Just think; 20 seasons of 80+ points....an astounding career for even a McDavid or Eichel... would put you approx. 300 back of Gretzky's ASSIST total. Just insane what he put up in relation to anyone else, ever.
  5. Scheifele would score 100G a year on goalies of that era, with that wrister.
  6. I suspect the founding fathers would be appalled at a lot of what's going on in America...often in their name, too.
  7. Bless you KBF. These videos are awesome.
  8. I'd rather have Drouin than Yakupov.
  9. Interesting..wonder who the injured FW is? A funny from twitter, "it's probably Mark Scheifele...elbow injury from all his high-fiving lately"
  10. Bold 1 - is this fact-based, or fear mongering? Bod 2 - agree to disagree, the "of course they're right" statements can sure go both ways, tread carefully. Case in point, this statement, from Jimmy Pop right now: Of course no legislator, or person unaware/unconnected to a particular woman has the right to tell her what to do with her body. Bold 3 - So you're saying both should be treated the same, then? I concur! Tax the hell out of both, put warning labels on everything, restrict sales to certain locales and enforce the age requirement, expand research on effects and use the tax money for healthcare & preventive measures. Most importantly (and what I find fascinating, given your views on the first 2 points) - don't tread on my right to partake in both, provided it's done in a way that doesn't harm others....helllllllllo alcohol. A wise man once posted... "The US was founded on and has far greater roots with total liberty". Pardon the language, but what the hell gives you or anyone the right to tell me what I can and can't ingest? Be it for health, be it for happiness, social connection, relaxation. It was hundreds of practical uses....all good, heck no. But that's besides the point. Besides, medicinal use & availability isn't the slam dunk / easy to obtain product you seem to suggest.
  11. Just my personal opinion, not a slight at all - but this is some scary rhetoric for 2006...let alone 2016. "not a fan of legalizing pot" - meaning you support the proven-unsuccessful crime & punishment approach? What's scary about legalization? Increase in use amongst youth? Worries around distribution? Government involvement? Legit questions...very curious. "what would be scary about being "pro gun"? I mean, in a word: America. That's what's scary about the "pro gun" crowd. The sheer numbers that Americans are killing EACHOTHER. I'll FULLY admit I don't know all the nuances and specific issues at hand here - I just don't understand why a phrase like "gun reform" scares so many. I can respect that as a law abiding US citizen you have a right to own a gun. Fine, fair. But do you need 13 of them? Do you need semi-auto rifles? Is is socially responsible to issue guns so freely, with lack background checks? How about the gun tradeshow loopholes Michael Moore exposed a decade ago? I'm not going to touch that last comment. I find these conversations very interesting and engaging. We, as Canadians, should be caring and paying attention in my opinion - if for no other reason that being thankful for where we live.
  12. One of my favourite election quotes over the past few weeks, from Matt Taibbi at the Rolling Stone...
  13. There there. Did you need a tissue?
  14. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out in nearly the same rate as ST did in 2011. The thirst for NHL hockey again is palpable here, but even more so people crave the nostalgia factor. Hawerchuk, Selanne, Gretzky, Messier, Coffey alone will sell this out right quick.
  15. Getting Klefbom, great. But at the expense of 2 of our top 4 D? I don't get that...
  16. Top 10 youngest teams in the NHL = average of 67 pts (2/10 in playoff spot currently) Top 10 oldest teams in the NHL = average of 75 pts (7/10 in playoff spot currently)
  17. If the Jets & Bombers had the same ownership group, maybe it would be more feasible.
  18. Yeah, fair enough. I heard them mention all those things. Those at the game yesterday probably noticed Wheeler taking the ceremonial faceoff with the troops, for whatever that's worth.
  19. Hockey gods, and sports gods for that matter don't often give Wpg much to cheer about. If we land the #1 pick, probably will be a 7.5 or 8.5% chance.....I may start going to church.
  20. I almost wonder if Wheeler doesn't really want the captaincy? They can talk process, and picking the right guy, yadda yadda yadda. But if he wanted the C, he'd have it already - no?!
  21. They've been somewhat competitive with McDavid in the lineup. Wonder if they'd be this close to the bottom if he stayed healthy? Not saying playoff spot, but more like VAN/CLB/MTL - not making the playoffs, and not bad enough for top 5 pick. Aka the 2011-2014 Jets.
  22. By the way, draft lottery last year was April 18. So if that's any indication, we're about 6 weeks from the most exciting time of the year for Jets (Leafs, Oilers, Flames, Canucks...) fans.
  23. Agreed. If we finish bottom 5, I'm happy. I trust Chevy & co to use the pick wisely; as they've done with 7th & 9th overall picks. Outside of finishing last and having a 20% shot at 1st overall, the 2nd thru 5th worst teams all have within a 5% shot at first - not a huge difference. For what it's worth, I just ran the simulator 12 times. Jets picked 2nd twice and 5,6 or 7th 10/12 times.
