5-4 is entirely doable with the way they're playing. I'm more concerned with the lack of L's by the other teams in the race. Minny seems to have a spot on lockdown, though that changes if we beat them. Tonight is huge if we can get 2 pts. My gut says Maurice goes with Pavs, and who am I to judge. I'd start Hutch if it were me.

If it were me, we'd start Hutch today and Pavs tomorrow. Starting either guy (particularly Pavelec) in both doesn't make a lick of sense...and goes against 4+ years of history. Hutch today because a) Pavs could use the night off and play the hot goalie vs. the better team in a more important game.

Slater seems like a well liked guy, and he sure is our best faceoff guy.... other than that, he's entirely replaceable. This is where you fill a spot with youth, and not sign him to a 3 yr/$1.2M contract a la Thorbs.

Holy Hannah was it ever! Funny how Bogo and Myers are prime examples of guys who's careers have suffered from being on under-performing teams. I don't mean to absolve them from all of their lacklustre play...but man, the Jet Tyler Myers looks nothing like the Sabre Tyler Myers. Sucks for Bogo as I thought he actually made some decent strides this year (when healthy)... I shudder when I think of what a few years in Buffalo will do to him.

No. All logic and common sense would dictate both would be extended this summer. Personally, I feel term/dollars is really the only debate for TNSE.

Did anyone listen to the full post game show on 1290? r/winnipegjets was saying Stafford was interviewed, and when asked about coming back next season, he seemed anything but clear he wanted to be back... Can anyone shed some light on what was said?

Then you'd have to think at least a revamped logo to sell more merch. Maybe incorporate the Jets colours. This is my preference. The newer Moose look was quite sharp. Plus the Jets freakin' mascot is a moose! Perfect marriage.

I love this thread! The Mrs and I have been in an apt for 2 years now. Just off Corydon, right in the village. The rent has steadily risen since we've been there... now close to $1400/month. It's really hard to justify that for rent. We've been debating condo, buying a house, condo, buying a house....

I have a 1/2 season package to the Jets I got in their first year back. The seat owners alternate between getting the home opener and first right of refusal for playoff tickets. I don't believe they've been discontinued?

Lots of people have no reason to make stuff up. Lots of people make stuff anyway. The Bogo/Trouba drug rumours I've heard from friends, coworkers, a family member... lots of people talking... no real reason to believe it's any more than gossip...

I feel bad for Postma; solid teammate, and a solid dude (from what I'm told.. my GF volunteered with him at Siloam Mission last fall). What I couldn't help think about.... Postma doesn't play for 2 months, no peep out of him, comes back, plays 23 mins and is praised for his solid play. Meanwhile, Pavs doesn't play for a couple weeks, comes back, plays well but blows the game (STL, obvs), and afterwards it's all about how he hasn't played in awhile, he was screened etc. Methinks, the younger Postma could teach Pavelec a thing or two about being a pro... ...that said, not a bash-Pavelec post... he played well on Saturday. Do we think Maurice goes back to him vs SJ?
