  1. Yup, definetly less interested than most years. Probably half to do with how awful we were this year, half to do with the Riders. I'll watch. I'll hope Hamilton wins, and Saskatchewan cries. Either way, let's just get this thing over with and get some new faces on next years Bomber team. I need to forget the 2013 CFL season ASAP. And to think, that'll be our memory of IGF's first season....pity.
  2. Absolutely there are. And then there's the Miami Marlins.
  3. how do you it will be cheap? do you have any figures to back it up? Sorry, I thought this fell in the category of common sense. Either way, my comment was not meant to strictly refer to money...more so the entire process seems like it *may* be done on the cheap (i.e. hiring/promoting those we know, while not interviewing outside potentials).
  4. For an organization that is notorious for doing things on the cheap, leaving Walters as the permanent GM, hiring Khari as a HC and keeping Burke on as DC would seem to fit the bill perfectly. (not saying either of the 3 is for sure, or that I'm necessarily against either move)
  5. I don't think keeping Burke anywhere near this team in any capacity makes any lick of sense. *If* he's back as HC, it's not complicated: more apathy, less fans and another 4 win or less season. I don't care how much our o-line improves, or who we bring in at QB or GM...you need a leader and motivator as a HC, Burke is neither.
  6. I'd take him as a QB given what we currently have...
  7. My actions were to give Buck the applause he deserved. He was all class here and despite the fact he was our QB for well over a year too long, I respect how he's embraced the city. Accompanied with that was a, "Go D, get Buck!" And judging by the cheers when we did bring him down, and when he's throws landed incomplete, my guess is most fans treated like that. Stewart and company need to take a good long look in the mirror, and shut their damn mouths. The way they've played this year, the home crowd owes them NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. Stewart and some of the other guys who have only been Bombers don't realize how lucky they have it. They were kings in this town when Swaggerville was big, now instead of deserved praise, they're getting deserved criticism. Shut your damn mouth and play. 29,000 bought tickets to see a 2 and I've lost count football team walk thru a game. Consider yourself lucky.
  8. Really People don't give a **** about acid rain until it peels the paint off their car. By that logic heavy people who don't seem to care about how it's affecting their health or the giant drain on the healthcare system where resources are needed for people that actually get legitimately sick might only care if they can’t find anything to wear. I stand along side you on this man. It doesn't take much to eat right and do some exercise. People who say they just don't have time or can't bother are just lazy or have no willpower to resist the crappy foods that are out there...or both. And this is coming from a 40 year old with a full time job, a wife, and 2 young boys in lots of activities....oh, and I also have chronic fatigue...and I still exercise. I hear ya, I certainly get fatigued from chronic.
  9. I'd like to think I'm a fairly knowledgeable fan, that said I would never pretend to know anything about o-line play. I mean it's pretty easy to tell when a unit works and has success, and when one would be lucky to stop the Rifles pass rush. Beyond that, I'll leave opinions on individual guys to the experts....and "experts".
  10. I think it was all for pun... Err, fun.
  11. Wait, are you suggesting someone on the Riders is being overhyped by The Saskatchewan Network? Naaaaah, that couldn't be!
  12. Honestly, it`s probably a contributing factor to our defence`s inconsistencies this season. I'm not excusing them, but if you know week in and week out your offence is only good for 20 pts and 250 yards or less, it's got to wear on you.
  13. The secondary was okay because Durant was under so much pressure. I can't honestly think of a single play Suber made today that warranted any praise. What I don't like about him is how he seems to arrive late and then pile-on head-first just to make his hair extensions flop around. He might think it looks cool but I think it looks ridiculous. He had a diving pass knockdown in the 3rd quarter against Dressler. Stellar play that was. He had a couple others too. Front four brought pressure early and often, but the secondary did their part too.
  14. Either way, it doesn't really matter. He's gone, and that sucks. Really thought he'd have some success up here....Like Bolden during his first tour.
  15. I don't know why he left, but doesn't it seem a little far fetched that he'd leave because there are "too many issues" on the team? What would he and his agent have expected signing with a 1-8 team? Until I see something concrete that proves the official line is not true, I'll chalk it up to potential NFL interest.
  16. I thought it was funny. Though, my username is an ode to the founder of the Bloodhound Gang... so take that for what it's worth...
  17. Maybe instead of doing up the tie after a TD, Goltz can start his own beer snake. Oh wait...
  18. A fellow Packer fan, very nice. I hate hearing how much of a Vikings town we are... that's garbage. Nothing to not like about the move(s) today - if nothing else, should be a continuing reminder to the guy's currently occupying those positions to get better or get out.
  19. The thing Goltz needs to learn is that the media in this town are in fact jackals. Especially the guys who cover the Bombers - where you can't exactly write about winning football games and success- you're forced to make a goddamn TD celebration into a 3-4 day controversy. I don't mind the celebration, and I don't mind what he's said about it since then. My issue is that we're STILL talking about it today. How about pen an article about one of the new players, the continuing decline of Creehan's defence or something, anything relating to the biggest home game of the year. Nah, too much to ask...
  20. Bah. I loved the stops at DQ. Poor, poor DQ employees labour day weekend...
  21. What are you Kim Jong Un? We don't wish bad things on Buck....just as long as he never starts a game in Bomber colors again, we'll be happy.
  22. I think the home and home with the Roughies will dictate what our attendance looks like. If we can stay competitive in both games, coupled with the *gasp* willingness to bring in new blood, people will show up as long as the weather is nice and traffic in and out on gameday continues to improve. Now if we go and bomb the LDC again, and get stomped on the following week, yeah, probably 26,000/27,000 announced crowds with far less in the seats. Not exactly the way IGF's opening season was to go down...especially one year late. I'll be there either way....though this season is the first I've left multiple games early. Ah well... I'd still rather be a Bomber than a f*cking Roughrider!
  23. There was an offside call. Could have been a line call, but #96 was flagged. There was time for a substitution but Hall waved off the replacement and stayed in the game. Everybody knew at this point that there were going to be 'consequences'. Burke should have pulled him at this point and benched him for a few series. With our limited rosters and depth, that's all he could have done to address it immediately IMO. Thanks, I appreciate that. And I agree with you, better to have it dealt with already. At least with all everything else going on, fining our best defensive player won't make too much noise.
  24. Replaced by our super awesome secondary... kind of like Logan was adequately replaced I guess... good point.
  25. I watched the game, but missed of missed the Hall "incident". Why exactly was he waving off the coaches? Not sure what OP's problem with Hall is...or how that correlates with Hefney, who has lost a step and was adequately replaced.
