Him and O'Shea are friends. Wouldn't surprise me if O'Shea has already discussed this with him.I could see Montreal firing Higgins and hiring Milanovich to be the head coach there, or if he's going to settle for being an offensive coordinator why isn't he going to work for his BFF in the whole wide world Chris Jones? He may be friends with O'Shea but he's got more and stronger ties to other places if you ask me. Guy like that won't have to settle for whoever comes calling, teams will make room for a guy like that. Word leaked out earlier this week that Higgins will be back with the Als next season. and you think that matters if there's an improvement comes free this offseason? Considering the large majority of the Als games were against Eastern teams in the second half, and two of the West teams they faced didn't have their starting QB (and Calgary was also without Cornish) I'd hardly call their turnaround impressive. If there's a better coach that comes available, Popp would be a fool not to go after them. Come on man 8-1 is impressive no matter how you slice it. Toronto and Hamilton were way better teams than Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and maybe even BC in the back half of the year.

Terrible picks in Willy and January. Steve Morley was our only decent O-linemen.

I agree that Wild isn't as good as Bighill or Sherritt but he's better than above average, especially on the outside.

Very nice to hear. I wasn't sure if he was playing DL or OL this year. Chris Greaves 2.0 Greaves is one guy who really hasn't taken the next step yet and developed the way you would hope.

Bucknor is the only Canadian on our defense that I'm comfortable with being an every down starter. Sherman and Thomas should be kept as role players, and hopefully Graig Newman can come back healthy as a starting caliber player which I believe he has the ability to be.

Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but I don't think we can count on Watson to stay healthy and productive. Denmark/Moore/Kohlert/JFG and Chris Matthews or a new import receiver would be perfectly fine with me. Honestly, there really wasn't any reason for guys like Romby and Kelly to be starting over JFG this year.

A better comparison would be Doug Berry taking the 2006 Bombers to 9-9. The 2005 team was putrid defensively. We had possibly the worst defense of all time that year.

Given our lack of Canadian talent are we really in a position to be letting a guy like Bucknor walk?

People here will make any excuse they can to give Willy a free pass while at the same time discrediting Collaros & Crompton.

Hopefully they take Demski and then him and Coombs both come back to Winnipeg in consecutive years.

Denmark, Moore and Matthews have the potential to be the best trio of receivers in the league if we re-sign Matthews.

Anderson, Brohm, Bucknor, Sears, Washington and Wild are the only guys I particularly want back. Ian Wild is a must sign.

Unless you're a Don Matthews or Wally type of coach, you usually don't have a very long life span if you make an enemy out of the media.

The Riders were 8-2 with Durant throwing for 172 yards a game, they've been 1-6 without him while averaging something like 225 yards a game passing. As Yourface already stated, the correlation between throwing for a ton of yards and winning football games isn't there.

Willy cost us both of the games here against you guys with terrible game crushing interceptions. My biggest concern with Willy is the fact that he regressed as the season went on. And with a different QB we may not have even been in the game at all. Easy to point the finger when it comes down to one play but it's obviously not that simple. Listen I'm still a Willy fan, but he's still learning how to win. I won't call him a young QB seeing as he's in his late 20's but he's not there yet. The hope is that he can take his play from the first six games this year and elevate it, but that's hardly a certainty. The fact that he got worse and worse as the season went on is what really bothers me. Once again, hopefully with a better supporting cast and with the entire off season to recuperate from the beating he took this year he'll come back and build on what he did earlier this season but we have to be prepared if he comes back next year and plays like he has recently.

Passing yards is the most overrated stat that there is. Right, because all you need to do is go through your progressions, make the correct read, deliver a good ball, all the while having upwards of four or more people trying to take your head off every single play, and in the process hoping your receiver does his job properly by running the correct route and catching the ball while someone else is trying to take his head off as well or deflect the ball to prevent the completion....Unbelievable. Passing yards has absolutely nothing to do with efficiency. Kirk Cousins in the NFL is the perfect example of that. I'm a little surprised that someone who should be as knowledgeable as you would partake in a game of silly bugger like this, but then again if it could be seen as as a criticism towards the golden boy Drew Willy maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

He took two holding penalties but otherwise I thought he was solid. O'Shea said the penalties were a result of him playing RT when he's a natural LT. O'Shea says a lot of things. I don't believe 95% of them. Why? Has he lied to you? Has he lied about anything? Very weird that you question his honesty without any real reason to.. Do you believe anything O'Shea says to the media?

In no way shape or form is Crompton better than Drew Willy. That's absolutely ridiculous.
