Sucks for the Lions, Harris and the league that he's out. It always sucks to lose star players, especially Quarterbacks and Canadians. It does help our playoff chances though.

I can't disagree with this. Earlier in the season we were winning the tight games like the one we played on Saturday. Not anymore. I'm not sure I have the faith in this team to go beyond 7 wins this year.

Receiver is the one position where I think we're okay. I wouldn't move Watson until the off season, but if we can trade him for a draft pick and then sign and/or draft a serviceable backup to Kohlert & JFG why not do it?

Kelly is a modern day Chris Brazell. I wouldn't mind seeing Watson being traded at this point either. I personally think it would've been a good idea at this point last year. I'd rather run with Kohlert and JFG. Watson is getting older, has a decent salary and is injury prone. But he does have the right passport, so trading him and getting something of value would be nice.

Our O-line has been terrible all season and our imports haven't been any better than our Canadians. Everyone knows how bad our line is, but there's nothing we can do about it at this point in the season.

I'm not sure who was responsible for the blocked punt but we need a dedicated long snapper. Having Ian Wild doing the job is just too risky. Signing Chad Rempel would've been a great move.

I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Don't be surprised if the Riders beat the Stamps on Friday. I would be shocked if you guys won another game this year. You were lucky to beat Ottawa last week. I will say one thing, how bad the Riders are without Durant does prove that he's at significantly better than most Bomber fans are willing to admit. Sunseri is horrific though. I'm still not sure where the hype for him came from or what gave anyone the idea he was a decent QB let alone superior to Drew Willy.

We can't have a thread about the Riders without it turning into a pissing match. There's Rider fans here people there's no need to jump over them in every single thread. We need to deal with that fact maturely without calling names and derailing threads. But at the same time, we don't need ten Rider fans jumping into every thread on a Bomber site whenever some negative is said about their team. This is a Bomber site, we don't like the Riders or their fans. Coming in like a pack of wolves and defending your team against every insult possibly hurled your way doesn't fly either. Just my two cents.

I think that we should give Willy a week of rest even if he can go this week. Despite the lack of confidence I have in Brohm, along with the importance of this game Willy's health is much more important long term than anything that could possibly happen this season. Now we just need to get him some stud receivers. Nick Moore is good but can't stay healthy, and he seems to have electrodes in his gloves that trigger on the opposition 20 yard line such that he lets go of the ball. We need a Chris Matthews type and a speedster that can get open to give Willy some options. Romby Bryant just ain't cutting it. Absolutely. Matthews - Moore - Denmark - Watson/JFG - Kohlert would be one of the best receiving cores in the league. There's no doubt we need better import talent then Kelly and especially Romby.

We don't really know what we have yet with Brohm. I'll go into the game cautiously optimistic. I hope you're considering that we could very well be in position to be tied with BC if we manage to pull this game out. Unfortunately, I fear that Brohm is more similar to Mike Quinn or Tee Martin then any competent backup.

For a 29-30 year old QB? Don't see it. Yeah. Willy will be a solid starter but Ricky Ray? C'mon man! Absolutely. Willy has the command presence, the good mechanics and the ability to read defenses and react. All he needs is good QB coaching and experience- lets have this conversation next year at this time. I agree with you 100%. Willy is going to surprise some people with how much he improves in his second year starting. He's an absolute stud.

Bowman has to be the most frustrating player in the entire league. I don't care how good he is, I couldn't handle having a player that inconsistent on my team.

Not a good enough excuse. Look at the lack of continuity in Calgary's line. They keep shuffling guys in & out of their line up every game on their OL because of injury problems too yet they don't miss a beat offensively. The guys that back up the starters in Calgary & have been pressed into action could start all here & play well. We'd have a very good OL. Agreed. Even with our starters in the lineup our line has been nothing impressive.

They are excellent. Until November. No doubt about that. That does seem to be their only downfall, when games start to matter, they tend to crap the bed. But they aren't relying on Glen this year. Been going on for longer than glenn was there. It seems to be a trend of sorts in Calgary the last few years actually, very good to dominate regular season, crap the bed in the playoffs. Burris isn't any better than Glenn in that regard.
