  1. I feel like we're back in the Kevin Glenn era when our biggest concern was finding a decent backup QB. Mike Quinn, Tee Martin, Ryan Dinwiddie... boy we sure started some quality backups in those days.
  2. Willy was clearly our third option. The ''they weren't all available at the same time'' argument has no merit whatsoever when you consider the fact that we traded for Willy. If Willy was our first choice, you can bet your ass that the trade would've been made for him before Collaros & Burris were released. I don't see any scenario in which Collaros & Willy both sign with us. It's complete homer-ism(something I'd expect from the Rider fans not us to be quite honest)to think that Collaros would sign here without being guaranteed the starting job. If Burris signs here, things get a little more interesting. In that scenario, we still do pursue Willy to be our backup(the Riders didn't have enough $$$$ to sign Willy as a backup and they were comfortable with Sunseri) but, BC with Lulay on the shelf also likely pursues him. IMO, in that scenario Willy signs with BC knowing that he gets to start the first half of the season. This is just my opinion but I think our preferences for Quarterbacks were 1) Henry Burris & Drew Willy 2) Zach Collaros & Kevin Glenn 3) Henry Burris 4) Drew Willy & Kevin Glenn 5) Zach Collaros 6) Drew Willy 7) Kevin Glenn It's nice that we got the best of the three Quarterbacks, but I'd agree that we did get lucky in how things turned out. You just can't convince me that Henry Burris gets offered nearly 400K if we wanted Drew Willy as our starting QB. That doesn't add up whatsoever, we clearly wanted Burris badly. In the end, who really cares? The Bombers won big with Willy and the RedBlacks lost big with Burris. That's all that concerns me.
  3. We're so screwed without Willy, so ****ing screwed.
  4. It'd be nice to see Henoc get the start.
  5. Let's shutdown Harris tonight and make him eat his words.
  6. When they had Denmark out playing receiver last year, and even before that I personally didn't think of much him. I thought he was a replacement level player like Aaron Kelly is. I'm glad to say that I was wrong about Denmark. He's come along quite nicely, and is a really good number two receiver.
  7. Yikes. That front seven is terrifyingly bad but we can't afford to lose to BC. Hopefully we can grind our way to a win and get healthy on the bye week.
  8. I'm assuming that's why they gave the Bombers a bye in the last week.
  9. I'm not the biggest Grisgby fan but he's light years ahead of Kuale. Kuale just being on the field is a negative for our defense.
  10. Grigsby is the best RB in the league?? Are you serious?
  11. Much ado over nothing lol.
  12. An unpopular opinion around here but I agree. Watson doesn't have very much time left, between his constant injuries and decently high salary I don't think he'll be here for more than another year or two. IF we could get a second rounder and a backup Canadian receiver for him, I'd pull the trigger on a Watson deal. A desperate team like Ottawa with a foolish GM might be willing to overpay for him.
  13. Losing Anderson hurts I'm a big of his, he'll most likely be out the first half or so of next season as well. Our ratio would be completely screwed if this happened to Jake Thomas. We need some depth, it's really a shame that we couldn't snag Mulumba or Bilukidi. Dan West & Don Unamba come out of the dog house, in you go Chad Anderson.
  14. Leave this site immediately with that nonsense. There isn't a plausible situation where I will cheer for the Riders. It just won't and can't happen.
  15. I thought he was going to be a good one. I guess the hunt for a decent back continues.
  16. I'm going to lose it if Kromah sits and Kuale plays this week. I'm legitimately basing my prediction of the game based on which one of those two plays assuming WIld is back.
  17. Do you think the respective fan bases have anything to do with that? They absolutely do. I wish nothing but pain and misery on Rider fans. Lions fans never show up let alone being the biggest pains in the ass out there so there's no reason to relish Lulay being hurt. Rider fans think that Sunseri is better than Willy. I hope they don't use Durant being hurt as an excuse when they flame out with all the Sunseri hype.
  18. He was our best player last year aside from maybe Henoc Muamba.
  19. Explain to me why we need to replace Bryant when he's in the midst of his best season ever. now it occurs to me that maybe you mean Romby Bryant not bryant turner, in which case, i'm an idiot never mind me. Yes I should have been more clear. I meant Romby. I think he is finished and really hope that Matthews decides to return to the bombers. You said receiver. That's about as clear as it gets.
  20. Yeah, where could we ever fit a loser like him in on this prestigious team? More people assuming Hall wants to play in the CFL this season. If he planned on returning he would have been signed by a team by now. It's obvious he hasn't given up on catching on with another NFL team. Chris Matthews doesn't want to play in the CFL either, but we at least know the Bombers are interested if he does plan too as opposed to ''where would he fit?'' in regards to Hall. So O'Shea doesn't want to publicly dump on his players by saying how great it would be to get Hall back to replace them. As for Matthews, I don't recall seeing any direct quotes from the Bombers about him - O'Shea might say the same thing about him if asked directly. There's a happy medium between not insulting your own players and professing that you have zero interest in a guy like Hall(which I believe to be true).
  21. Yup. That second bye week could be nicely placed if we can squeak into the playoffs though.
  22. Since my golden ticket of Cornish has been stolen from me I'll take the man who betrayed tacklewasher last week. Andrew Harris for me.
  23. We didn't have anyone else to play.
