You must have been watching the Banjo Bowl from 2009 as I saw no ass-kicking going on last week. What I saw was a defense win the game for an offense that was getting its ass kicked. Obviously our defense was awesome, but we were completely manhandled in the trenches.

Those are two good points. We've had a plethora of import running backs come through our system this year though. There's no doubt they'll keep looking. The lack of a decent import receiver, linebacker and tackle is what really bothers me.

Interesting that Argos play at home both of their games during their short week, where we just played on the road for ours. The travel is exhausting on the players and it eliminates one practice day too. Teams on these short weeks should play both games at home IMO. The Riders came here on a short week and kicked our ass.

Since 1995 there has not been a team that has won 8 games that hasn't made the play-offs. The majority of those years have been with an eight team league. Edmonton and Calgary already have five wins while BC and Sask have four. Unless Edmonton completely falls apart and wins less than 3 games which at this point is highly unlikely, I don't see any of those teams finishing below .500.

There's zero chance we make the playoffs with eight wins. You guys seriously think any of Calgary, Sask, BC or even Edmonton is going to be worse than 9-9?

If Moore, Kelly or Denmark is ever hurt I'd start three Canadian receivers. JFG, Kohlert and Watson are all better than any of the other imports we have hanging around(yeah I'm looking at you Romby).

Win in Montreal, and go 4-5 the rest of the way we're still 10-8 and making the playoffs(maybe even in the East which is better).

May not win another game this season when we have Alex Brink coming to town next week? Good joke Mr.Burke.

I don't see what could possibly go wrong with giving Jarvis Jones a start at tackle. If he's somehow worse than Howard he doesn't deserve to be employed. Does anyone think that we should give Neufeld a shot at tackle? I thought his play in the pre season was superior to anything we've gotten out of Knapp and Howard thus far.

I'm a little disappointed that we weren't able to find players better than Romby, Kuale and Howard. Thankfully we have Montreal rolling in here next week. That should get us back on the right foot.

I've thought Howard was terrible since the first game in Calgary. I have no idea what he did to deserve a spot on our roster.

Yes and the Island Raiders used to have a team comparable or better than most CIS schools. This is how they got Andrew Harris and why a lot of people aren't happy with the current rule as it heavily favors BC.

Sounds like Howard/Knapp/Jones shouldn't expect to keep their jobs for too long.

I would much rather play against Brink than Smith. I highly doubt Brink makes it past this game in Sask, but I'd love for Montreal to come rolling in here with Brink at the helm. Montreal is seriously the Bombers of last year. How many weeks do we give it until Jeff Garcia is starting?

He won't be back in the CFL for a few years at least I'd wager. As much as I'd love to have him here, its almost just as good to see him do good down in the NFL.

What changes has MOS made to the lineup for performance reasons this season?

Having Neufeld & Moore back this week would be huge for our offense. It'd be great to have Moore/Kelly/Denmark all on the field together. Romby is a serious downgrade in every way.

I suggested this to someone I was sitting with last night as a joke but I honestly think he would be better than Romby.
