Someone please tell me why Goltz isn't doing QB sneaks?
-
I doubt Steve Morely will even be back next season, let alone our starting center of all positions.

Mike Kelly Explains Kevin Glenn Cut From 2009
Blueandgold replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He was demoted and then later decided to quit. -
Given our situation I would probably prefer we get Collaros.
-
We can only hope they take Steve Morely off of our hands. Maybe we can swing a trade sending Morely/Max Hall/Poblah/Jovon/Cauchy and Sandra for a 6th round draft pick.

Mike Kelly Explains Kevin Glenn Cut From 2009
Blueandgold replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The scariest thing is, that since Kevin Glenn was cut the highest quality of QB play we've gotten is Steven Jyles in 2010. -
The Riders don't have any NI receivers outside of Getzlaf and yes that includes Rob Bagg.

Mike Kelly Explains Kevin Glenn Cut From 2009

I don't think Kelly was THAT bad as a head coach. But he was a terrible General Manager, Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach. -
I love how ISO won't stop complaining about Etienne when he's been better than Anthony Parker. Iannuzzi, Etienne, and Parker have all had similar production, Coehoorn is the only receiver from that draft class that has been more productive and consistent than the others but hes also 27 years old already. Poblah on the other hand is a bust, but I personally believe Etienne has some long term potential, and I'd hate to lose him or Kohlert to the Riders or Redblacks.
-
Probably clearing the puck whenever you get it as if you're short handed.
-
I hope they take Poblah.
-
Well, Coehoorn plays for the Esks. But even their offense moves the ball.
-
I like how he uses Quarterback as the number one excuse, he wanted both Elliot and Brink released because Max Hall and Justin Goltz would be ''improvements'' and he also believed Buck Pierce would be an adequate starting QB this season. Burke has to take just as much as blame as anyone for our horrific trio of Buck, Goltz and Hall.

The year after jyles we sucked bad. I'm not saying in comparison To this season. The offense sputtered badly the year after Jyles left. Remember we started off hot winning lots of close games where our defense with Willis absolutely dominated. Then after labor day the defense got worn out and we lost many games and barely made it through the playoffs to the cup. I feel that Buck was really overrated in 2011, at least he was decent unlike the last two years but even in 2011 was just average.

Marty Markett - Season Over

Sherman is a good kid and all...but he has no business starting even on this sad sack of a team. -

Two wins is enough to come back?

In fairness to Joe Mack, he did trade a broken Steven Jyles for a draft pick that turned into Jade Etienne... a young Canadian receiver Jyles was coming off a career season and actually had value at the time. I remember quite a few people being upset we traded him, and then the Argos managed to parlay Jyles into Ray.

All three Stampeder QBs under contract for 2014 ... ?
Blueandgold replied to OldSchoolBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I thought Glenn was a Free Agent, but Tate and BLM are both under contract. Of course I wouldn't be surprised if they unload Tate on whoever is willing to take him. -
Sounds like he's channelling the spirit of Joe Mack...the spirit, or the ineptitude...one of the two. Seriously, that comment sounds like he's trying to sidetrack the fact that he lost a 2nd round pick. It's like "aw, the second round picks were **** anyway, so I thought I'd just throw this in for good measure". I'm losing faith in this guy quick. He's trying to make trades just to appease the fans. "Oh look everyone...he's doing something...he got rid of Buck (for a shitty receiver) and now he got us a second rate Olineman...WOOHOO...he's teh Aw3s0mE!!!ONE1111". So far, the only person he's brought in that seems to be worth ANYTHING is Kelly. Foster, Boltus, Sims-Walker, DeAngelis...all crap. And how many NFL cuts stuck around, other then Sims-Walker? To be fair, I think your expectations of what he should be doing mid-season are a little high. I would say the best thing Walters has done is purge some of the useless assets our team has to set us up in a better position to compete next year. His goal was never to compete seriously this year. Even though Foster hasn't done much, its stuff like getting a young Canadian receiver for an old broken QB that Joe Mack would've never done.
-
I hope that isn't Burke implying he expects to come back next season. I would seriously consider canceling my season tickets.
-
Only in Winnipeg do we complain about acquiring young Canadian players...
-
Well I'm sure him and every other coach we have is going to be gone in a month.
-
Hall had very little to no value to us at this point in time. Really, would you rather have a 2nd round pick or Neufeld is the question and probably decides which side of the fence your on for this trade. I don't mind getting the proven Canadian commodity, seeing as our first round pick last year may never come here and our 2nd round pick looks like a career special teamer if he even recovers from his injury. The draft is a crap shoot, we just took out the guess work and got a Canadian O-linemen which we desperately need.
-
I wonder who gets named our most ''outstanding'' player now that Hall gets traded? I can't even think of a worthy option.
