  1. He’s a good coach, but to be a great coach and help take this team to the next level he needs to make adjustments. That’s what will help propel us from a team that’s perenially losing in the WSF compared to being legit GC contenders. The playoffs showed that, despite our injuries, we still have a little ways to go if we want to beat Calgary or Edmonton when it counts.
  2. We won a lot of games due to the sheer brilliance of Matt Nichols. Winning regular season games is nice, but it’s been five years. We need to show up in the playoffs and play with the big boys, I’m not satisfied with simply making the playoffs and folding like a cheap seat. There’s no doubt that the unwillingness and reluctance to make changes in our lineup and coaching staff has hurt this team. Loyal to a fault. Roc Carmicheal was single handidly costing our team games in the first half of the season. You can’t make any sort of argument that Sam Hurl deserves to start EVERY single game last year, you just can’t. Even if you want to use the ratio as an excuse, Thomas Miles is IMO a better player than Hurl no deserved a shot at proving that.
  3. O’Shea needs a little bit of a fire. The only time he coached extremely well is when his back was against the wall and his job was on the line. Aside from that, he hasn’t been willing to make necessary changes.
  4. Our receivers didn’t really adjust well to the Fevers scrambling either. I watched Denmark stand there doing nothing on broken plays repeatedly.
  5. Maas is a close friend of Rays’s, and the rumour is that if he doesn’t re-sign with the Argos he’ll be going back to coach under Maas. Im simply saying that he may consider holding the clipboard for a year as well, considering the major need the Eskimos have at that position.
  6. Maybe, but being a backup QB/QB Coach for a year could be under consideration as well. The salary of a backup QB is more than that of a positional coach, especially since he'll likely be Edmonton's emergency QB should anything happen to Reilly regardless.
  7. You have to wonder if Ricky Ray would consider that position.
  8. I'm willing to bet that we sign Durant as our backup QB not Glenn.
  9. Collaros has been outplayed by Masoli the last two seasons, he doesn't scare me even a little bit. I'm happy the Riders got him rather than Franklin.
  10. Great player but I can't see him sticking in the NFL.
  11. When was the last time Collaros won a game? The Riders can have him.
  12. I’m afraid some bigger names are going to be the cap victims.
  13. Bond and either Heath or Westerman would be nice to have back. JSK has adequately replaced Wild at this point,
  14. I’d love to have Durant as a backup. Despite his poor year, I’d still much rather have him than the likes of Glenn.
  15. This sounds like everything the Drew Willt fan base said when he was benched for Nichols. Lets not forget that Masoli outplayed Collaros in 2016 as well as 2017. That’s two years running. I have zero reason to believe that Collaros will regain his prior form at this point in time.
  16. Dressler is still a very good player, and really symbolizes what an O’Shea team is all about. It would be nice if we can make him our number three receiver.
  17. Playing with him, he always reminded me of Doug Brown. He’s a beast on the O-line too. He could have a successful CFL career playing either side of the ball. If he comes to the CFL and is committed to football, he’ll be a perennial all star in the CFL.
  18. Maybe, but the 2017 draft class is going to go down as an all time bust if we don’t get Gray.
  19. He had a down year, but I’d still take Chris Williams here.
  20. This board should still make new threads for big moves around the league. It gets so cluttered having every major move discussed in the same thread IMO. With that being said, I like the move for the Argos to go out and get Franklin. He’s a good one.
  21. We had tons of draft picks last year and we got awhole lot of nothing out of them.
  22. I was thinking more of the Jim Daley era when we had the putrid Smith brothers in the secondary.
  23. The Bombers receivers sans were horrible from 2003-2004 when Bobby G started to decline until Armstrong was signed in 2006. That easily one of the teams biggest flaws back then, along with that putrid secondary.
  24. News this important deserves to be its own thread.
