  1. Our secondary still sucks though. It'll be a little better when Adams is back, but its hard to know who to blame between the DB's and the scheme.
  2. Willy had numbers like that in the first two weeks. This is exactly why stats are deceiving.
  3. I actually thought our O-line played a pretty good game tonight. Goossen was getting dominated, but from what I can tell everyone else did fairly well or at least decent.
  4. Man, I know we're frustrated with Willy but I would hate to be stuck with a duo like Jennings & Lulay.
  5. I was there live and expecting us to get our ass kicked.. Don't care how we did it, it was great to see us get a win.
  6. Sounds like TSN is stealing it's bullet points from members here. Both those points have been brought up by a couple of our posters.
  7. I can't see that happening based on how bad Winnipeg&Sask have looked.
  8. 5-6? More like 8-9... You could even make a case that it's been more like 12 years since we've had a QB who's excelled in those situations.
  9. Cato & Tate still would've outplayed Willy and kicked our ass.
  10. Remember last year or in 2014 when there was a lot of talk about the discipline(or the lack of)our players received for boneheaded mistakes? Tons of posters here went on about how that's just how he speaks to the media, and just because a Kuale wasn't benched for committing three unnecessary roughness penalties in one game didn't mean that was how O'Shea treated players in the locker room. Then we had guys like Morley come out and say that he didn't do f all in terms of holding his players accountable. It seems like our country club atmosphere just keeps trickling further and further down the line. O'Shea won't be our coach a month from now. '' We'll be better because I said we're going to be''. Well we're quickly approaching 0-3. Its put up or shut up time for O'Shea.
  11. I have the joy of going to this game, let's hope Its decent enough that I can bear staying until the end..
  12. This is all just IMO of course but for my top 15, with a real log jam from 2-5, I'd go with something like this... Tier 1 - Collaros Tier 1B) Burris, Reilly, BLM, Harris Tier 2) Durant, Glenn, Ray Tier 3) Jennings, Franklin, Willy, Lulay Tier 4) Cato, Nichols, Masoli
  13. We haven't recruited a better defensive end than Greg Peach in three years. That's beyond pathetic.
  14. Chamblin, Higgins. This site is too much. Lets just hire Mike Kelly and call it a day.
  15. They should've saved the fake for a third & medium or less situation. Ten yards on that play was going to be hard to come by.
  16. I'll say Bowman with no confidence at all because i suck at this.
  17. It was a horrible pick at the time and even worse in hindsight. Poblah was a bust but he was still a good pick without the benefit of hindsight. I can't say the same about Waggoner.
  18. We would actually be on our way to building a decent O-line if we had one of those guys in the lineup...
  19. Yeah that wouldn't do. We'd have to sadly let macho go to correct this wrong!
  20. If you're putting an extra DB on the field, you're usually taking your weak side linebacker off the field regardless.
  21. The SAM linebacker is basically an extra DB, that position is often tasked with covering slots.
  22. Not a bad point... but on the other hand, there aren't really many other good blocking centers in the league either. A really weak position in the league right now.
  23. We're only two games into the season, but it looks like a lot of our players are going to be gone in the off season when wholesale changes are made. A very very early topic, but I'm going to try and keep it positive. What starters have impressed you guys? Who do you see sticking around and being solid players for us throughout the rest of the year and into 2017? Andrew Harris - Runs hard every time he has the ball, and even if he tails off a bit as a running back, he could potentially move to receiver as his career winds down. Ryan Smith & Weston Dressler - Haven't done much this year, Smith due to lack of opportunities and Dressler for the obvious reasons. I'm sure by the end of 2016 both will show why we went after them though. Jace Davis - Looks like the best receiver this regime has recruited and hes only 24. I believe he could have a long productive career in the CFL. Darvin Adams - Wasn't a fan due to his lack of effort and dropsies last year. But he's played harder thus far this season and looks like he could gain a bit more consistency which would make a 1000 yard receiver and a good second tier target. Goossen & Chung - Young Canadians, not great players yet but young and still developing. Chung in particular I believe can be a very very good CFL player if we're able to keep him around. Chris Randle - I absolutely love this guy. He brings it every time he steps on the field. Johnny Adams - Haven't seen him yet this season but is a very good young corner, he'll be a big help to our D whenever he's able to return. Mo Leggett - Versatile player, I personally prefer him at safety, but he isn't bad at SAM either. With the proper system and coaching, he can very easily be the best safety in the league. Ian Wild OR Bass - They don't play well together, neither one of them is a middle linebacker. Wild hasn't even played great at OLB this year. But he always and is a really good player. I believe one of them should be traded and Henoc Muamba(ideally) should take over as our MLB. Westerman - Should be the reigning MOC, was an absolute force last season. Like Bass & Wild, he hasn't played particularly well this season but he's a guy I know can turn it around and play at an elite level. Cummings - Hasn't been spectacular, but hes caused some good pressure and is a nice young building block. Medlock - Great kicker, not sure we can afford to pay him that kind of $$$ long term but he's the best K in the league. I'm not really sure that anyone else on our team has played well enough to be considered part of our ''core''. Kohlert for example, is a guy I've always really liked him but seems to have really slowed down the last two seasons. Of course his spot on the field plays a big part in that, but he's a guy who's taken a bit of a step backwards instead of forwards.
