I could care less about whether or not O'Shea criticized him in the media. What I would've liked to see is Kuale cut, or benched for a game or a quarter or the first series. Something to show that he has to change his behavior.
-
Would you say that Kuale last year was held accountable for all of his selfish undisciplined penalties? How should I know? I'm not in the locker room. However you've made it clear that you believe the only way to hold a player accountable is to bash them in the media, sit them, or cut them. I disagree. Considering that he continued to make the same mistakes over and over again and kept playing I don't think you can consider him being ''held accountable''. Look at how Bill Belichick runs things. He benched Wes Welker for the first Quarter of a playoff game. That's a coach who demands respect and accountability from his players. The way O'Shea would talk about Kuale I wonder if he was really aware of how poorly he played. That might not make much sense so take it for what it's worth. I think O'shea was well aware of Kuales stupidity and i think he's the type of coach that just won't throw his players under the bus in public.. Sometimes, this forum makes me scratch my head at times and say to myself, guess mike kelly was actually right... Cuz Tim Burke did throw players under the bus and people hated it, O'shea doesn't and people hate it. I dunno, I go back to Paul Maurice with the JETS, said what happens in the room stays in the room, i can make you fn cry in that room, i think O'shea is the same way, I think in that room he could make you fn cry, but outside of it, he's gonna defend those same players. I don't think theres anything wrong with that. Kuale? Well, he's not here anymore so i think that says just about everything we need to know about how the coaches actually viewed him. Kuale took snaps a way from Ian Wild last year.Just think about that for a minute. Words are just that words, you need to take action if you want someone to learn from their mistakes. Kuale shouldn't have even been on the roster. There's a reason he isn't in the league anymore, and there's no way he would've gotten the same leeway on any other team that her received here. Look at Ottawa cutting Brandon McDonald this week for being an idiot on the field, and he's actually a decent player.

Wrong to whom? The fans? We can criticize all we want and have our reasons for doing so, but we aren't in any position to say his roster moves are wrong, or right.I don't think I know more about football than MOS but evaluation of performance isn't as hard as you make it out to be. He deserves to be questioned. Question O'Shea all you want. Evaluation of players doesn't start and stop with just what you've seen on TV and at the games. There's a lot you don't see, unless you're at every practice and in the meetings. I hate that rationale. It's apparent that O'Shea is stubborn, sticks with players far too long and has terrible roster management. There's a significant difference you need to learn when it comes to throwing players under the bus in the media and holding players accountable for their actions and play.

I would hope that Walters is able to find someone a little better. -

Nice to Hamilton lose! This was probably the best game of the year. -

Seven picks on 200 attempts is by no means terrible for a rookie. -
Picard is terrible and a complete scrub. He's a detriment on the field and a player of his caliber holds no value as an injury replacement.

I agree that we have a very good chance at upsetting the Stumps this week. -
Blah, I'd rather start an import at guard or Jasper at MLB.

Gaydosh was considered a CFL sure thing at the time...that's why the Bombers tried to trade up to number one. -

Hindsight is 50/50, Mulumba wasn't seen as a guy likely to crack an NFL roster at the time. -

I'm not giving Brett Smith the ''edge'' over Marve until he at least wins a freaking game. I never thought people would be defending the hapless, pathetic, gongshow, dysfunctional and win less Riders over here. -
Is B.C. worse than the Blue?
Blueandgold replied to sportmentary2012's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If we go 5-13 there'll be calls for his firing... If we go 2-8 the rest of the way I don't see any way he keeps his job... or anyone (aside from maybe Spuds )defending him. -
I really dislike penalties that don't affect the game.
-
Exactly. You pass on him for a project in Wauld and then take another project in Morgan. Man Morgan has been absolutely terrible. I don't understand how a Canadian player can be so bad on special teams. If we're starting too many Canadians, why not start Jasper over Hurl?
-
The interviews during the game are cringe worthy. Absolutely god awful.

With how bad BC & Sask are, anything less than the playoffs is worthy of termination for O'Shea. -

Pretty sure the NFL version you can. That's why I was a little confused. Is there an NFL version? They have the physically unable to perform list, and IR - Designated to return. But nothing like our injured list. -
Bombers interested in Jasper Simmons, UPDATE: Signed to PR
Blueandgold replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
you know what that poll proves... only Bomber and Rider fans are voting... I'm not sure what's more laughable... Elimimian and Bighill combining for only 7% of the vote or Brackenridge getting 37% of votes.... It was the same for the 'best hands' poll. Dressler won over Denmark with S.J. Green getting less than 10% of the vote. SJ Green has awful hands. The fact that him and Bowman were even in that poll was laughable. -
Picard followed by Neufeld. Not counting Canadians(just to make it more interesting...Picard, Neufeld, Bucknor, Hurl, JFG are probably the 5 worst), assuming everyone's healthy its actually a lot more difficult. I'd probably go with someone along the lines of Greg Peach in that case.

People here are going to be very surprised about just how good Jasper is. He makes our defense significantly better.
