  1. Not sure that either of them is a big upgrade on Demarco, and I'm personally not a DeMarco fan.
  2. Glenn starts regardless of Lulay's health. Now, if Glenn is struggling and Lulay is healthy then you might try to bring in Lulay off the bench.
  3. The realistic situation would've been Burris to Winnipeg, Willy to BC and Glenn stays in Ottawa.
  4. Aside from Matt Forte you could make the argument that Marshall, Jeffery and Bennett have all underachieved this year.
  5. No way does Kevin Glenn go into Hamilton and win the East Final assuming they beat Montreal(which by no means is any sort of guarantee).
  6. Next season the Bombers win those games. I'm confident Bombers win at least 9-10 games next season. Could've won them this year too. We were outplayed at the QB position - rest of the team played well enough to win those games. Willy had his struggles towards the end of the season, however, in the games against the RIders at home and against Hamilton he outplayed the opposing QB. You are just making crap up. He was pretty brutal in the first game against the Riders. I thought that was one of his worst games actually. Those three picks he threw were absolute killers. They hurt, However, I blame 2 out of 3 of those on the play calling and on a receiver making no effort to go to the ball. Fact of the matter is that we scored more points on offence than they did. If we could stop turning the ball over for TDs, or stop Dressler on KRs this series looks a lot different. Who gets a FG blocked for a TD? The luck was running the Riders way. Willy played well. He was not the cause of any of our defeats to the Riders. In the first game he lost a fumble for a touchdown, threw a terrible pick six that gave up the lead in the last three mins and then to top it off he threw another pick by forcing a deep ball on the ensuing drive. Willy can definitely wear the horns for the first Rider game. It's interesting actually, even though the stats don't back it whatsoever, I think Wily easily played his best game against the Riders on Labor Day.
  7. Damn we're one bitter fan base. But who can blame us? 1990 says it all.

  9. The Riders were completely imposing their will on us in the Banjo Bowl before Durant got hurt.
  10. You're right, Ottawa should be given a roster that makes them Grey Cup favorites next time.
  11. If the Riders had lost tonight, they would be 9-9. They split the season series with B.C. and they won the point differential by 9 points. Am I missing something? Would they not have finished third even if they lost today? They lost to BC by 13 and won by four. They lost the point differential not won it.
  12. It was also a serious under throw by Crompton. That ball could've been picked off because it took so long to get there. Did anyone else notice how Crompton was talking to Green on the sidelines after the fumble for a touchdown? I had a feeling that conversation was about going deep to him next series.
  13. Well this topic was a fail. Seriously though, losing those two home games to the Riders plus the ones to Hamilton and BC are more and more painful. I wouldn't say that any of those three teams are much better than we are.
  14. Who do you want the 2-16 RedBlacks to be playing in a meaningless game? Henry Burris? Joey Elliot? Why not give O'Brien the reps?
  15. Coaching isn't the issue. Having a crappy GM who screwed up his qbs was. The Glenn/Burris thing & now the Burris albatross contract no one will want. We can only thank Desjardins for taking Burris off our hands. Desjardins solving the QB problems in Winnipeg & BC all by himself! Losing Wallace Miles was actually a bit of a hit though. I have no doubt that he would've fared better here than Kelly & Romby.
  16. Mike Reilly winning the ol Buck Pierce award.
  17. Pretty sure that replacement is Jace Daniels. Agreed. I thought he was easily the best of all the import O-linemen we tried out this year.
  18. Let's hope Kuale is next to announce his retirement. He doesn't deserve to announce ''retirement''.
  19. Him and O'Shea are friends. Wouldn't surprise me if O'Shea has already discussed this with him.I could see Montreal firing Higgins and hiring Milanovich to be the head coach there, or if he's going to settle for being an offensive coordinator why isn't he going to work for his BFF in the whole wide world Chris Jones? He may be friends with O'Shea but he's got more and stronger ties to other places if you ask me. Guy like that won't have to settle for whoever comes calling, teams will make room for a guy like that. Word leaked out earlier this week that Higgins will be back with the Als next season. and you think that matters if there's an improvement comes free this offseason? Considering the large majority of the Als games were against Eastern teams in the second half, and two of the West teams they faced didn't have their starting QB (and Calgary was also without Cornish) I'd hardly call their turnaround impressive. If there's a better coach that comes available, Popp would be a fool not to go after them. Come on man 8-1 is impressive no matter how you slice it. Toronto and Hamilton were way better teams than Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and maybe even BC in the back half of the year.
  20. Terrible picks in Willy and January. Steve Morley was our only decent O-linemen.
  21. I agree that Wild isn't as good as Bighill or Sherritt but he's better than above average, especially on the outside.
  22. Very nice to hear. I wasn't sure if he was playing DL or OL this year. Chris Greaves 2.0 Greaves is one guy who really hasn't taken the next step yet and developed the way you would hope.
  23. Bucknor is the only Canadian on our defense that I'm comfortable with being an every down starter. Sherman and Thomas should be kept as role players, and hopefully Graig Newman can come back healthy as a starting caliber player which I believe he has the ability to be.
  24. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but I don't think we can count on Watson to stay healthy and productive. Denmark/Moore/Kohlert/JFG and Chris Matthews or a new import receiver would be perfectly fine with me. Honestly, there really wasn't any reason for guys like Romby and Kelly to be starting over JFG this year.
  25. A better comparison would be Doug Berry taking the 2006 Bombers to 9-9. The 2005 team was putrid defensively. We had possibly the worst defense of all time that year.
