If he made a nasty racist remark would you defend that as "not ignorant if thats how he feels?" Subtle homophobia is still homophobia and *is* ignorant. Glenn wont want to be a back up and all it does is create a scenario where a certain segment of the fanbase will be calling for Glenn to start the moment Willy struggles. Doesnt it depend on what you want that second QB spot to be? Are you looking to develop a QB there or have a dependable back up? I think Max Hall can serve that role. If they feel they need a veteran who can be a calming influence and mentor the young QB's, then fine, but that doesnt sound like Glenn.

Exactly. No one has ever even expressed mild interest in owning a CFL team. The Maritimes are a wasteland of failed AHL teams... No other pro sports have ever been there. That's not entirely true. The Ice Caps are extremely successful in St Johns. But will probably move simply due to logistics of travel. But it's a very successful profitable team.

It sort of seems like the media can only get excited about one player a year. Last year it was Reilly. This year it was Collaros. I also think their status was a bit different. Everyone knew and expected Collaros to be a big Free Agent hit whereas maybe the Rider-loving media figured he might re-sign there. I have to admit that my excitment for Collaros was only due to others' excitment. I was never really emotional about it. I was far more intrigued by Burris but maybe because Im more familar with him. When I heard Danny Mac preferred Willy, even before Collaros signed, it lessened my disappointment there. I agree though - Willy is our man. It's time to embrace it. By the time the first snap happens, I am sure he will be a bonafide rock star in this city.
