At least Security did something. Thugs might think twice about hitting that store again if they know they will face resistance.

Game 22 : @ Blue Ain't Your Colour

That Zhamnov move where he’d break in, and go left while sliding the puck in to the right, one hand on his stick. Beauty -
To be fair if they offered me that money I’d fight Tito too. The real question is how did Chuck get licensed.

Should have got that extension done three weeks ago! i was thinking about Zhamnov after the game I remember that 5 goal performance I listened to it on the radio I believe it was in L.A and Zhamnov scores all the goals for the jets that nigh. Man was he a good player. Imagine if he hasn’t smoked a pack a day -

HDR is better than 4K. Both is even better but yeah I agree. I bought a new TV last year and there isn’t much that really utilizes it but programs with HDR...awesome

Yeah I think the article referenced ESPN 3 broadcasting games in Spanish. The latino community is also huge and every business tries to capitalize there (from my wrestling experience, Smackdown used to beat RAW in ratings due to their Latino audience with Eddie & Rey). It might seem like an uphill battle for a Canadian league to make in-roads in the Latino community, especially in Mexico, but if there is interest in broadcasting games there, you have to explore it. It shouldn't be a foolish gambit though. They wont expand to Mexico City. But I think if there are networks looking for sports content in Mexico, the CFL would likely be pretty cheap compared to others. The hook might be those training camps...if you can discover a Mexican star, great. Forcing bad players onto teams should be a non-starter. I'd hope they're looking more at the US and the plethora of networks/streaming platforms begging for sports content and paying a lot for it.

If he can get CFL games aired in Spanish in Mexico for real money, why not? Every sports property in the world right now is trying to cash in on increased media rights and streaming. People are paying big money for any content. Mexico strikes me as odd but if he sees a business case that generates revenue, go for it. With that being said, we wouldnt want a designated Mexican...thats absurd.

Im a big GTA fan and waited until I got an Xbox One to buy the latest GTA (it worked on the 360 as well). Looked great on One. I just have the initial Xbox One I think...

Yes I remember Strawberries in the parking lot of what is now Best Buy/Shapes. That strip mall was a real mall (indoor) with a K-Mart at one end and a Dominion Grocery at the other.

I remember the Bishop extension. We used to go play on the construction equipment on the weekends. But I can't imagine that a area without the original Bishop. If that drive in photo is of the University Cres intersection it looks like there was no University Cres either. And now Chancellor Dr to the right (I live off Chancellor). I recall the few businesses/restaurants in that area, many having gravel lots. The McDonalds at Chancellor was further North right around where Coyotes is/was and had the Caboose. All kids wanted their birthday party in the caboose. Where the Bishop extension is was a restaurant called Rib Shack which my brother loved (regular birthday dinner for him). There was an A&W on Pembina that had the old car hop set up. And that mini mall where Applebees is was just wasteland (snow dump). Used to be a water slide park there when it first opened. Ah, the memories. lol

I think a player being waived can be assigned to the AHL. Cause he's already on Waivers. Once he is assigned to the parent club, like in the case of the Avs, he'd have to go on waivers again to be sent down. Avs could have assigned him to the AHL right off the bat but didnt. I believe thats how it works. I assume the Jets intent initially was to waive him to the Moose. And now they have. -
Im trying to visualize that image of the Pembina Drive in...the address puts it right at the corner of Pembina/University (where the Petro Canada is now)...ofcourse, addresses can change. But if thats Pembina looking South, its remarkably different. There is a large sign on the right side of the photo (looks like a "chef" holding a jug of root beer), which looks super familiar....

No Way! haha thats hilarious. Well I guess they like him then because if they had nothing for him, paying him $800,000 to play for the Moose didnt seem worth it. But I guess it adds depth after losing Vesa and they know him and he knows their system. EDIT: Assigned to the moose. So it only them a month to accomplish their original goal. -
How many Drive-Ins were there? Someone told me there was a Drive in where Summerland Apartments currently are (Corner of University Cres & Pembina), which had to be well before my time (although I remember Pembina from there South being barely built out when I was a kid)

I think there is a component of being responsible and understanding the world. They wanted to sell toys and merch before the trend of strong women. I think a lot of Hollywood is more left leaning and have all sort of embraced the idea of equality and pushing women/girls as strong and independent. I like it a lot and its long over due. Even Wonder Woman, to me, there was a story that portrayed a female superhero that could be a female role model, And sure, she was still wearing a pretty sexy costume but not overtly so. There is so much male dominance and masculinity out there, strong women roles are good for little boys to see too. I took my niece to a play date program and the instructor had Moana playing on her laptop. The daycare next door, came in to play for a few minutes, mostly boys and they were all transfixed watching. Good for boys to see girls in strong roles. And if girls want to be Princesses, so be it. If they want to be superheroes, so be it. But also, sell lots of merch.

Ive tried to switch my niece from Frozen to Moana...really just to expand her viewing experience (we try to limit screen time, but Im sure you know how it goes). I actually like Moana too. Because my niece is so young I think its the music and movements that attract her.

This is an interesting idea: https://www.cfl.ca/2018/11/23/cfl-lfa-sign-letter-intent/ Anything that has the potential to increase league (and team) revenue is worth exploring. With the way TV Rights Fees have exploded for sports, it could end up making a few bucks. CFL Commissioner also said they are looking at one division and moving the season up a week.
