  1. It will be high profile for sure. Especially coming from Farrow. But it sounds like the allegations pre-date his marriage so Im sure the strategy will either be to deny it or to say look, I committed bad behavior 20 years ago but since then, I've been a model husband and executive.
  2. The thing with Rudy is, he's serving his current master. Even though everything he says flies in the face of things he's previously said. He's a great example of partisan hypocrisy. If Obama was alleged to have done a fraction of what Trump has, Rudy and the boys would be demanding his head on a silver platter. But saying that, even though Rudy is simply serving his master, he's doing a really poor job. And he comes across as old and out of touch and non-credible. Trump should have stuck with other lawyers or find ones now. But as I recall, many lawyers declined to take him on. Plus, he didnt like the advice others gave him. Rudy is there for one reason - to fight Trump's fight. He will never go to Trump with a settlement or plea deal. Its all about fighting to the death. And for that reason, they will lose.
  3. Well Les is against the merger. So my thought is, if he's ousted, it could actually make the merger easier to happen.
  4. Correct. The allegations are from 20 years ago, reportedly. The thing is, I could believe that Les did that 20 years ago (unwanted touching, kissing etc) and I could believe that he's been a perfect professional in the years since. But what people are seeing is, the old boys club culture is being replaced, thankfully, but a lot of those old boys are still there and now paying a price.
  5. Yowza That's a big fish. If there is any truth to it, he's done. The allegations are coming from a story written by Ronan Farrow so they have to be taken very seriously. But its important to note he's currently involved in a major feud with Shari Redstone over plans to merge CBS & Viacom which is a massive deal. Crazy stuff happens when people fight over that kind of money and power.
  6. I think the party thinks if they turn on Trump, the base turns on them and they are done. Its not like Dems and Liberals will embrace Republicans just because they turn on Trump. Their only hope of winning is to go with Trump. They had a chance before to turn against him and make the Republican party a Moderate Right party, but they didnt. It will likely take a complete disaster, such as Trump being impeached and possible jailed, an implosion of the Party for it to re-build without the alt-right White Nationalist garbage propping it up. There is so much ground between the center and the current GOP. If the Dems can hold off their own crazies and move towards the centre, they can gain a ton of traction. Its there for the taking. If the GOP gets clobbered in November, you'll start seeing the party turn on Trump because they will think he's poison and they wont want to lose in 2020.
  7. Well the economy is doing very well so its okay if a Russian agent is the President. Of course, there was chaos when Obama wore a tan suit but...but...the economy.
  8. File under politics cause she’s dating Don Jr. personally disappointing because years ago I was obsessed with court tv and in love with her!
  9. The only thing standing between us and World War III is gerard Butler!
  10. And Trump Org CFO being subpoenaed. GOP source saying it’s getting closer to trumps inner circle. Apparently he’s not too happy. This CFO was specifically mentioned by Cohen in the Trump tape. He knows everything. Trump is going to lose it any day now. Remember trump said if Mueller looked at his business it would be a red line? The best part is it isn’t mueller. It’s the Southern District that’s doing this. What can Trump do? And whatever the Southern District gets from their Grand Jury they can share with other federal investigations, such as Muellers.
  11. @ediger *maybe* something happening, not Winnipeg per se, but Winnipeg will be apart of it. I dont think its a secret but its not my place to spill the beans. I've hinted about it a few times. Im still digitizing all my video from over the years and Ive been encouraged to do a monthly podcast where we'd talk about our history. 17 years means we've seen a lot of it. Though ofcourse, there was a lot before my time too. If we do the podcast, we'd have it be audio but with a video option (sort like that radio show on Sportsnet) but use our archival footage so you're not just watching us talk but as we discuss people/matches etc, appropriate video is playing. I've also wanted to turn the archives into a regular internet TV. 30 minutes max...easy to watch. A regular 2.5 hour live show has enough footage for 3 "weekly TV" shows. But we didnt tape every show and some of my footage is rough due to the technology of the time (SD) or just dark venues, one camera shoots. But I think is enough is interesting...and as I was told recently when asked about my archival footage, its actually better that its not pristine as it adds character to "old" footage. Meh So yeah I agree...lots of history to be told. You might even loosely use the idea of Roddy Piper, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega as the connective tissue of Winnipeg wrestling and then connect the dots with some of the highlights (and low lights) over the years.
  12. I would make it a 12-15 episode season, premium TV on CBS All Access. More money, less work. Cameos all around.
  13. He could also move back because his son is in graduate school but a screw up and Lillith blames him. They tease getting back together multiple times. They could call it "Cheers, Fraser"
  14. Isnt the general formular for public ownership of sports buildings that they are "owned" but the "management" (ie. sports team owners) get a 100 year lease (or whatever) and retain all the revenue anyway? The public doesnt get anything but the retention of ownership puts them on the hook for capital expenses, no? The make up of Triple B probably provides more oversight and decision making than "owning" the stadium would. Its a silly argument designed to make people mad who dont really think about it. "We dont even own it!". Its not like Triple B is planning to sell the damn stadium. Its not even like the arena where the team ownership is very rich. The Bombers are not rich at all and have far fewer potential revenue streams. But if the public believes government should not invest in buildings such as this, then they essentially believe we should not have a world-class stadium at all. And you know what, add that to the ballot and we wouldn't.
  15. How about "Cheers" goes bankrupt and Fraser buys it to save it from the wrecking ball and moves back to Boston. Full circle! You could have the original Cheers gang plus new young goofy bar regulars.
  16. Thats true. If you're a really good player making millions doing your own thing, what is the incentive to spend your summers doing that? Drinking Beet Juice etc lol Takes a special person to be that dedicated. That's Uber Dedication. We're lucky to have Scheif. Last stats on Roslo were 6'1, 187. Would love to see him add a bit more weight to the frame.
  17. Revival would be a better word for continuing a show with the same characters years later. Roseanne was a revival. Fraser would be a revival. Reboot would be like if they re-cast Fraser and he had just left Boston
  18. I wondered that myself. They can all afford it. Maybe its the time involved and some would rather vacation. Maybe there are only so many spots available and you need referrals. Didnt Trouba do it and quit?
