  1. the gimmick of being so knowledgeable as to take the opposite opinion on common ideas is sort of funny. But Little is younger and a valued member of the team. Its unlikely the Jets would trade him right before his new contract kicks in. They signed him, he committed. Not the Jets style. But Stastny has more offensive upside, adds more to the PP and is better on face offs. If it was a choice between Stastny and Little, I think they Jets would choose Paul. But its not an either/or situation. Jets are unlikely to sign Stastny and if they dont, they are still a very good team. If they are able to, great. The fact they want to, and he flies in the face of their youth oriented mantra tells you how much they value him. No one has rated Stastny above his skill set in my opinion so no, he isnt over-rated. lol
  2. Im surprised these people are so tone deaf about the Red Hen. I guess I shouldn't be. I mean, if Sarah was gay and was refused service, they'd be celebrating it.
  3. Maybe a limited release where they know not everyone will get to see it, followed by exclusively on Disney stream. The hardcore fanboys will lose their minds if they cant see it on the big screen and I agree, I'd want to as well. If you do a limited release, surely it would end up on the most screens of all time and drive a massive record for opening day/weekend/week sales and then still push huge numbers for the subscription service. Although, isnt everyone going to subscribe anyway? The earlier rumor that Solo's under-performance confounded LucasFilm and Disney had cancelled pending anthology films has been disputed. The concept of the streaming service supports the fact that Disney wants as many Star Wars films as possible for exclusive content. Solo might have told them that they cant slap "Star Wars" on a crappy film and expect a billion dollars though.
  4. I think it looks bigger on TV because of how they shoot it. But I didnt think it was small. Ive read that its all taped on sound stages but also read that thats not true. I was in October so maybe not as busy and they have lots of souvenirs for sale but tons of stuff like you see on the shelves on the show and people were actively shopping. We actually went the day previous but at night because it says its open 24/7 but not for entry, just the pawn window.
  5. Funny thing is, I read up a bit about visiting the store as I planned to check it out last time I was in Vegas. No one was there when I was there of course but I read that of the "stars", the Old Man was the most likely to actually be there, usually sitting behind the counter working on stuff (not really serving customers but supposedly he'd wave and stuff).
  6. There is also a rumor Obi Wan would appear in Star Wars 9, which makes sense to me, Depending on how far along the development process is, they could combine Ewen's filming for 9 with his own film. Going straight to streaming seems crazy, but if Netflix has 100 million subscribers and you want to compete immediately, there is probably no better way.
  7. Im curious if they qualify everyone. I'd assume they would and that doesnt preclude them making other deals. Someone else can correct me if Im wrong but these second contract guys would need waivers, unlike this past season, so you take a risk with guys like Petan if you dont think he can make the Jets, but you have to waive him to the Moose.
  8. I agree. And regarding the Post Credit scene:
  9. For sure and I dont think he loved his role with the Jets so he wouldnt want to return anyway. But to me, if you can 1) move Mason without retaining and 2) get a veteran back-up for $1 million, you save a few bucks. But if you're going to move Mason and down-grade your back up position to save one or two million, might as well just keep him and have that luxury at that position while seeing if Comrie can develop into a suitable back-up in 2019.
  10. The Post Credit scene will make your brain hurt even more but apparently, its exactly what you suspect it is...
  11. The Conners: This whole story pretty much echoes my thoughts http://www.vulture.com/2018/06/roseanne-spinoff-imagining-the-conners.html I was against the killing off of Roseanne as I thought it would be a distraction and some fans would be offended. But now I think it really has to be the case. of course, unknowingly, they set up a potential way to do it in the revival with Roseanne being addicted to pain pills and about to have surgery. There is a lot to mine with the character's death and anyone who has experienced that (as I just did) can attest to the grieving and, as noted above, the sometimes overwhelming paperwork and stuff that needs to be done when someone dies. Factor in the loss of income and it ramps up the money worries too. And of course, Dan eventually dating again could hilarious.
  12. It hurt my brain. But in a gratifying way. I saw a review that compared the show to Lost but Im much more hopeful Westworld doesn't screw things up like Lost did. They seem to be taking more care. One of the creators/writers did an interview where she answered all the questions from the finale so they arent even trying to screw with you, they want you to understand. Also, for those that dont sit through the credits, there is a Post Credits scene....
  13. So...Westworld Season 2 finale last night. My mind was blown...or short circuited, Im not sure lol
  14. If given the choice I'd prefer to keep Hutch and move mason but I assume Hutch wants no part of that.
  15. I figured his health was an issue as he hasnt been on for awhile but surprised it was Parkinson's as he didnt show symptoms during his appearances. That's what my dad had (though Parkinson's can effect people differently).
  16. https://lrmonline.com/news/star-wars-rumor-obi-wan-movie-will-be-direct-to-disneys-streaming-service-and-stephen-daldry-has-left-project/ Rumour is that the Obi-Wan film would would be straight for Disney Streaming and not released to theatres. On one hand, thats crazy (the film has the best chance to make $1 billion+) but if a Disney Streaming service wants to rival Netflix as soon as possible, thats a way to do it.
  17. Well yeah. But you have to know better. His “confession” should have been thrown out. His other confession, the one he refused to give because he didn’t do anything, was reluctantly given to his own legal team who coerced him into giving it. when you’re a minor and your lawyer conspires with the DA to screw You, the court should protect you.
  18. Mason seems like an obvious one but you’d need someone willing to take him. If you have to retain salary plus replace him it’s not worth it. He’s still a good goalie. Plus I think the jets likely hope to manage helles minutes and you need a bonafide back up to do that. Can’t assume Comrie can handle that.
