  1. I looked up this story and it is weird in the sense Heigl told the story as a joke and claimed to love Seagal. So its odd. Tony of creepiness and outright deviancy in Hollywood. I couldnt help but think about these stories while finishing off Stranger Things last night, what with its kid-heavy cast. So to change the subject a bit, now that I've finished it, really great ending to the season. The final episode was a tear jerker in a really satisfying way.
  2. There are a lot of people who did things they are nervous every time their phone rings now. It sucks. But it’s good people are able to come forward and it should result in meaningful change of culture in Hollywood.
  3. I have two episodes to go. I'd say season 1 is stronger but season 2 is good. I'd have finished it but the gf needed to sleep haha so its still very bingeable. And I agree, the kids are all charming and pretty good actors. Milie Bobby Brown is terrific. She's really a sweet charming kid and a good actor. But the kids are directed really well too. And the adults are solid. Sean Astin was a great addition to this season. I saw someone online say its a better story if you think of both seasons as one big story. I get that.
  4. What a rough one. Spacey went the PR route when he should have just issued the apology without any caveats or qualifiers. If he was truly sorry and truly respected Rapp, he wouldn't have changed the narrative from the incident which clearly had a lasting negative impact on Rapp into an "emotional" story of his own coming out. Its just not right.
  5. I love that Trump's defense is basically "Paul was a crook way before I hired him to chair my campaign". Maybe not the best defense. He has to have lawyers telling him to shut up but he's so desperate he thinks he can change the narrative of the nation. And maybe he can. Is the meeting Papadopoulous being charged with lying about the same one that Kushner and Junior attended? if not, it's still interesting to note he is pleading guilty to basically the same thing Junior did - lied about meeting Russians for the purpose of getting dirt on Hilary. Junior will be indicted too. Maybe Kushner also. Will they take a bullet for daddy? Trump is an old man but I have little doubt he'd let his kids go to prison to protect him.
  6. Supposedly Trump had to be talked out of firing Mueller. Can he even fire Mueller? I thought he could not.. Nixon had to order the AG to do it (leading to the AG's resignation). Have to believe Trump will fire him if any charges against Trump or his family are coming. But what happens if he actually fired Mueller? He seems to desperately be trying to make a case that Mueller is in conflict...setting the stage to fire him and not be impeached. If he fires him and the GOP doesnt turn on Trump, then the US is is really a lost nation. But no way does Trump let his kids get charged without going scorched earth. He'll try to pardon his kids and himself. Fire Mueller. etc
  7. Also this: Washington (CNN)A former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser has pleaded guilty to making a false statement to the FBI after he lied about his interactions with foreign officials close to the Russian government, the campaign's clearest connection so far to Russia's efforts to meddle in the 2016 election. In court records unsealed on Monday, the FBI said George Papadopoulos "falsely described his interactions with a certain foreign contact who discussed 'dirt' related to emails" concerning Hillary Clinton. In addition, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former Trump campaign official Rick Gates surrendered Monday to Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller.
  8. Crazy seeing how panicked Trump was since last week. Desperate.
  9. The desperation by a wildly frightened Trump would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad. This guy is losing his mind over fear of Mueller.
  10. I think it might be a frustrated Wheeler trying to do too much. He also has a history of slow starts. Give him some time.
  11. I think it was Michael Piller being brought in for season 2 of TNG that changed the game. berman gained power and brought Piller in. Gene lost power.
  12. Has he suffered some sort of brain injury?
  13. Plus he's holding back some record. of the ones released nothing too earth shattering. Oswald met with a KGB assasin. The Russians thought it was a right wing conspiracy and someone called a UK news agency anonymously right before the hit and told them something big was about to go down. Also, someone called the FBI the day before Oswald was shot and said there was a committee formed to take him out and he needed to be protected. Holding back a few items on the ground of national security sounds pretty fishy.
  14. We salted LAST week. What do you people want, MORE Salt?? Thats why we have a Carbon Tax! lol
  15. Dont get me wrong, good writers and a good idea trumps everything. But I like the idea of being closer to "us" than going beyond. Although I also liked the idea of a Temporal Investigations series that jumped around. But I imagine it would be expensive. Fuller's original pitch for Discovery was to explore different eras every season. So the current Discovery era, then TOS and so on and so forth up to TNG and beyond. CBS said they'd greenlight season 1 and take it from there.
  16. Thats the other idea I've seen. But if the idea is to create a scenario to send the Federation tech back to the TOS era, just do a TOS era series. I dont begrudge some fans their desires but I has always perplexed me the reflex that Star Trek must always go further and further into the future. There is so much open space in the history of Trek that would be fun to fill in. My personal desire for the new series was Captain April (brand new just-launched Enterprise 1701) or an Enterprise B series (still have potential cameo's for TOS cast and the series could happen in the wake of James Kirk's death with the first "new" Enterprise with a new crew.
  17. How can they be expected to know this might happen in late October? Even with 4 days notice of rain/snow and zero degree conditions with strong winds. It really took everyone by surprise. Sarcasm. Yeah it was a complete dereliction of duty by the city that they advised everyone to NOT USE BRIDGES rather then be sanding them ahead of time.
  18. Really? I find it the best acted ensemble of the franchise. If you go back to TNG, their first year (even two) was pretty rough. Any series with Stewart and Spiner can be great though. But it was once that cast sort of "got" their characters that the chemistry really shown threw. I think Discovery is way ahead of the other series' in acting, depth of character and stories. And can only get better as they develop more chemistry and the "voice" of the characters.
