  1. The rumor is next year. But that's been the rumor since TV came here for a rare double shot sell out back in...2005? So one of these years the rumor will be true lol I did not attend the house show but heard it was busy. Was told it was decent (regular "easy" house show work). Unique in that Brock did a houses how in Winnipeg of all places (but it's a fairly quick drive for him as he lives just over the SK border now). Brock's last match until RR by some reports.
  2. I've felt that Scheif's deal is almost a gravitational pull on everyone else in such a way that it sets a standard for the Jets. Laine surely to get more but Scheif's deal and now Ehlers will be a "pull" on that contract too. The core of young guys who clearly want to be here will be inclined to take "fair" deals to play together, stay together and, hopefully, win together.
  3. Chevy is a great at this. Now...let's go Laine and Trouba.
  4. When was the last time blackouts was a thing. Every game is televised.
  5. Its ridiculous. Remind what what Scheif is getting....and they pay this guy $10 million. As an RFA. Crazy. The PA forces the cap up and then complains about escrow.
  6. Yup. The hope is Connor is a third line option or, even better, a top six option pushing Perreault to the 3rd line which makes Armia and Lowry much better. Copp could surprise people with playing time on the 3rd line as well. Same with Petan. But I think maurice is willing to sacrifice goals for defensive responsibility. So be it...we shall see. Its a long season. Many teams wanted Tanev when he became available. And he has talent. Lets hope he surprises. Maybe he is what Lowry and Armia need to up their totals.
  7. Wont be known to a lot of us here but a very respected and highly involved guy over the years. Wrestling Observer: The pro wrestling world lost one of its most treasured voices this morning. Lance Russell passed away at 91 years old after complications from a fall. He was hospitalized after breaking his hip in a fall on Friday, which was the second time he had fallen last week. Russell's daughter also passed away on Friday after battling cancer. We all send our thoughts to the Russell family during this difficult time. Aside from being the host and voice of Memphis wrestling, Russell was considered one of the nicest people to ever be part of the pro wrestling business. He was also a television program director, putting wrestling in its Saturday morning time slot in Memphis where it had tremendous success. Russell worked for WCW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling towards the end of his career as well.
  8. I think there is a reversion clause. At a certain time or if Sony (And Fox) go X amount of time (no pun intended) without a film, they revert back.
  9. Yeah I wonder if they figured they could sneak him through. He was highly touted. Not sure where he's at developmentally now. Anyone?? If he's still looking solid, its a great pick up for Vegas. Never hurts to study under Fleury.
  10. Subban claimed by Vegas off waivers from Boston.
  11. Copp skating. So..hopefully he saves us from Third Line Tanev.
  12. It makes sense for them to do a long term deal where Sony distributes or whatever and Marvel handles creative, thus reuniting all the Sony marvel characters under the MCU (at Marvel's discretion). Trying to spin off a Spidey universe without Spiderman makes little sense. They'll get a bump from the revitalization of Spider Man (thanks Marvel!) but ultimately it will subscribe to the laws of diminishing returns because how can you go far with Venom without eventually including Spiderman?
  13. You're talking about Venom? Yeah.. I meant the Spiderman sequel of which Spiderman is sure to be in.
  14. The sequel to Homecoming is slated for 2019. Tom Holland would no doubt play the role. He's also scheduled for both Avengers films. The actor remarked that a deal was being worked out with Sony for him to appear in Avengers. Which leads me to wonder if the original agreement between Sony and Marvel was essentially a one-off. Which strikes me as pretty stupid. Why would Marvel help rehabilitate a Sony property and then not have a long term agreement to use the character? I suspect the film will take place in the MCU even if it has no obvious ties to the MCU. With many of the original Avengers probably moving on, Marvel surely wants Spider Man to continue in those films.
  15. If WWE cooperates with this production, which I believe they are, it will likely be lousy. I can imagine it being GLOW-esque in being a comedy-drama about a trailer park hick who took on the world and won
  16. Michael Learned (also played Katherine Chancellor on Y&R when the original actress was sick) is always the example used. Which sort of proves the rule. She's the only one anyone can think of lol. After three episodes, I dont find her name jarring at all. Maybe we'll find she was an only child and named after a dear Uncle or grandfather (or Grandmother)
  17. Lots of family have DNR’s. You can effectively keep someone alive on machines... but it ain’t living.
  18. I subscribe to this theory. Poolman might get in some games if Myers needs the occasional maintence day
  19. He’s alive!!
  20. He played almost as much LHD in pre season.
