  1. My thing on this is, he's still lying. So the lie wasnt 10 years ago. it was 10 hours ago. He's shown to be a liar. You look at the totality of his character and its not good. With zero indication he's really changed aside from saying so. And as you said, he has a lot of motivation to SAY he's changed. He contacted the victim a few weeks ago. Fontaine did so recently. Sure, they wrap it up in "we want to help" but it could also be perceived as a different type of intimidation. Pallister having a home in Costa Rica was made into a scandal by the opposition but thy want you to believe there is nothing to see here?
  2. I guess the days of tactical strikes to try to minimize casualties are over: "The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea," Trump said during his first address to the UN General Assembly.
  3. Is that all?? I thought historically the Goldeyes did really well. They really should have timed it so the finals were better days. Monday, tuesday is ridiculous.
  4. What a winner they voted leader... http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/kinew-assault-ndp-1.4295906 So he lied about the assault charge. Par for the course. Also made racial insults towards a cab driver. So he's a racist too. Fortunately, his parents convinced a court to let get back on the "traditional" path.
  5. They should postpone til Thursday or Saturday. Unless its sold out then it doesnt matter. But if they went Thurs or Sat they;d sell out for sure. City is awake for this now...keep the teams around, doing meet & greets etc all week. Great PR for the league. I know, you cant just post pone a final on a whim.
  6. Arena look a great. Actually looks like the home of the Jets finally
  7. The NDP have no shame. They really need to look past their own egos on this
  8. I heard some analysts calling Niku the the first D call up. Nice to hear. Chiarot and Nogier getting pushed by Poolman and Niku for D depth is great. And it would sure be nice to have some leverage when Toby's deal expires next year...to either retain him cheap or have the option of walking away, which, with the Kulikov signing, might be the thought process.
  9. Could be nasty as heck tonight. Oh well, weather is the same for both teams. But could be even longer! Would they post postpone til tomorrow if need be? I think its supposed to rain all night. heard there were long lines for tickets for tonight after the game last night.
  10. The line up tonight should not be having any trouble with the Wild. What's the problem?
  11. I didn't watch. But makes sense as he has a tv show to promote.
  12. Any of you attending tonight? I'm curious to hear about renos to the arena
  13. TNA has announced their Bound For Glory PPV will take place Nov 5th in OTTAWA! Some hilarity about this because the rumor was Canada with most feeling it would be Toronto since that is their parent company HQ. But as recently as last week, everyone in TNA thought the show was still going to take place in Orlando. There are no venues available in TO on this short notice. I cant see them drawing well in Ottawa. But this might be a precursor to moving the whole operation to Canada (which I suggested as a possibility when Anthem bought them). I believe their TV tapings that week are also in Ottawa so for the rest of the year, their TV will come from Canada. This also means Jim Cornette is done with TNA. He doesn't go to Canada because he was severely hassled by customs in 2010 over previous assault charges. Keep in mind he regularly toured Canada before that when he was with WWE. Which also raises the question of work permits for TNA's talent.... It also looks like they might be going through a name change. They have dropped all references to "GFW" and are just using "IMPACT" as the name. Recall that they JUST finished re-branding from TNA to GFW. When Jarrett was fired it was revealed that the deal to acquire GFW was not completed, begging the question of how stupid one must be to re-brand when you dont own the brand. They also JUST debuted brand new belts with the GFW logo. This is a good time to remind you that Anthem (their parent company) spelled backwards is 'meh TNA'
  14. Stanley and Buff as D pairing tonight. Thats a lot of man.
  15. You have five days to put your affairs in order http://www.news.com.au/technology/science/space/is-the-world-going-to-end-on-september-23/news-story/bd22a208cf5f2b251fb332543fa48758
  16. Seth clearly thinks highly of himself. He will tell a joke and then has to stop and talk about it. Really bad. Beats the joke into the ground. I am confused by their setting though. Seth said all the right things about being a Star Trek homage and telling an optimistic view of the future etc. But it really comes across like a modern (or ten year old) sitcom transplanted to a space ship, complete with words and gags that have no meaning unless you live right now (or recently).
  17. Very very good at what he did, in every respect. He actually got the name Brain because when he went to the AWA, Larry Hennig was already using Heenan's original nick name, Pretty Boy. One thing I always remembered was his advice on how to be a great manager: "Manage like a wrestler and wrestle like a manager"
