  1. 1) we didnt over pay. Little gets more as a free agent 2) we did not over-sign length either. little could have got more as a free agent. 3) Little has been very consistent. So while we cannot predict the future, there is no reason to believe he begins to suck before 35. 4) assuming the cap doesnt go down, the deal eats up less and less cap every year. 5) behind Little, our depth for 2C is Perreault and Lowry. and 6) Little wanted to be play here, hence he signed a fair, long term deal to stay in Winnipeg. But no one wants to play here.
  2. I saw IT last night. I had only just seen the original a few months ago. And I liked the original. But the remake is great! Super creepy. I was not sure about Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise but he is really good. The kids are all good. Good film!
  3. Ehlers will be looking for something similar to Pastrnak. Depending on his season this year. Same age, I believe. Ehlers a bit less offense. Jets will probably prefer 7+ years though. And then Laine...
  4. Woods is a great actor but a terrible person. He is a HUGE Trump apologist. One of those guys that thinks if he yells the loudest, he wins. He often tweets or re-tweets negative things about Dems or the left in response to negative things about Trump, as if two wrongs make a right. His attacks on Hammer and the film was solely because it was about a gay couple. So good on Hammer and especially Tamblyn for standing against him. Tamblyn in particular, it was courageous as a young female in Hollywood to stand up to someone like James Woods.
  5. Yup. I've been in many ER's and know people that work there. If they could get people out of the ER and into walk ins, it would change health care in this province big time. The idea of community clinics seemed like a good one to me. I've noticed a pretty significant increase in the efficiency of clinics as well. Doctors and staff there want to get people in and out. There is no benefit to patients waiting in clinics for 12 hours. I remember back in the day, you'd have to arrive at 8 am and wait all day. They did not want you leaving and would not give an approximate time. Now, they often do. They will give you an appt to return. I cant remember the last time I went to a walk in where I waited significantly longer than my designated time. Plus, many now have their own labs and some are adding X rays too. Full service. These operate at a profit for the doctors and staff. Its essentially one-payer health care delivered privately.
  6. Im seeing some consternation from a few people on twitter. Make no mistake, not signing Little would have been a disaster. The Jets would have entered their "best" (hopefully) years without a consistent 2nd line Center. Little is also a solid RW so if Roslovic or someone else ever pushes for his spot or his abilities as a center begin to falter, he can fill other roles. I would not expect a player as consistent as Little to suddenly lose his ability at 34. So even if the last two years of the deal are a Little on decline, its probably not that big of a deal. $5 million at that point likely wont be a lot.
  7. It wasnt long ago that some people thought Morrissey was a bust...
  8. This is the opposite of what they should do. They should be getting people out of the ER's and into Walk In Clinics. Ever visit an ER? Filled with people that *appear* to not need to be there.
  9. I beat him by one minute in the off Season thread lol Good deal. Quietly done. Everything Little said was apparently true! A $600,000 raise that should see him through to the end of his career (or close to it). Little a Jet for life. Good for him.
  10. That happened quietly. And a good deal too. I guess Little was being honest when he said he wanted to stay.
  11. nhl network has ehlers - Scheif- Laine perreault - little - wheeler connor - petan - armia matthias - lowry - Copp
  12. Cowboy Bill Watts, now 78, remains one of the more unique personality in wrestling history. Watts has retired to the Florida panhandle and after Hurricane Irma came along, he decided to encourage looters. He scattered some electronics including a flat screen television at the end of his driveway figuring it would attract looters preying on the elderly who had some of their things destroyed. I’m not exactly sure what he was then intending to do when the baited in looters would show up, but I guess I can use my imagination
  13. Well we already have private health care. A model of public pay and private delivery is not a non-starter for me. We have private clinics. Operating for profit. But the idea of either new taxes or less service is a non starter. I think efficiencies can be found. For sure. But I'm very disappointed seeing this from the PCs.
  14. I don't think that's the case. I don't think PCs want private health care. Our health care is a Canadian institution. But the ndp left the province in bad shape. This isn't where the PCs should be looking to make it up. Isnt health care national?
  15. So? No one said he was making the Jets this year.
  16. I USED to think this. I like them now. iMac, Macbook, iPad, iPhone, iPod. Have them all. lol
