  1. I honestly cant see Little getting $6 million. That would be almost the same as Scheif and more than Little. I'd look more to Perreault who earns $4.1 and is a similar age. Little is better than Perreault and plays higher up, generally. So we can say Little deserves more. The issue is, if Little wants a contract that takes him to 36 years old, Im not sure I see that. Jets have $33 million projected space after this season with Ehlers, Little, Trouba being the big ticket items. So its doable. They have to account for Laine the following year too. But then they have Mason, Myers & Wheeler coming off. So I dont know that the Jets can fit everyone under the cap but they have set themselves up pretty well to be in a position to make the decisions they want to make rather then having those decisions forced upon them.
  2. Cass' injury looks like an ACL tear and could be out NINE months. Yikes.
  3. Yup. You already have far too many Republicans that refuse to speak out against Trump. I read an interesting take on the 25th and how using it to remove Trump would violate the spirit of the thing. And that if the Republicans ever get to the point of removal, they should impeach rather then 25. The mid terms will be a big deal. if enough people re-elect Republicans to control of Congress, get used to Trump.
  4. I guess we can look forward to a styles/corbin program.
  5. Enzo moved to 205. Did I suggest that recently? I hope I did cause I was thinking it lol hes good for ratings and will bring some personality to the cruisers. He has nuclear heat in the back though. Shelton makes his long awaited return to SD. I assume he and Gable are a short term thing. Roode debuts. I believe he's 39. Never give up the dream. He's pretty short for vince but he's a solid worker and that music is gold. Edit: whoops he's actually 40. Also he's Canadian. And listed as 6'0". I don't know about that. Lol
  6. His contract expires next summer. He turns 31 beginning of next year (2018). Yeah maybe 5 years but that would have to be a contract that includes a belief he's likely a 3rd line guy in the latter years.
  7. Cormier is a good veteran leader for the moose. That's it roslo is the answer. Hopefully. But I think little re-ups for another 2-3 years to make sure we get there.
  8. I like the idea of a gritty crime drama about the joker. But WB's really risking the golden goose with this unfocused vision for DC. I maintain their error was in wanting to catch up to Marvel by skipping ahead to Justice League with an older batman etc. They should have started from scratch. And moved slowly forward. Essentially have Bruce Wayne as the tony Stark of DC. They already have issues with affleck. Now they want to go backwards with an unrelated joker origin. They want to give us nightwing without the established drama of why he even exists. And the best thing they've got, Wonder Woman, is at risk because she's connected to a boring superman and an aging batman.
  9. I agree. I figured he'd decline to seek reelection. Although I can't imagine he makes it through another three years. I think he quits at some point. Im not even sure the 25th is appropriate in this case. Although impeachment would be if congress so deems it. If mueller comes up with something they will be the next big step. Trump might try to pardon himself which I think would fail. He might try to pardon others in a quid pro quo effort to have them take the fall. But mueller is probably effective enough to limit that possibility. Lastly it leaves a Nixon deal where Trump quits to elevate pence in return for a pardon.
  10. It's really odd that Trump equates monuments to a losing side in a war predominantly over slavery as being his culture and history. But whatever. More talk of invoking the 25th tonight. But I think people don't realize what that entails. It's not just that the majority of cabinet and the VP have to invoke, which might be possible, but Trump would then contest it to congress where they'd need a majority to uphold it. I believe congress would essentially investigate but I don't know if it would be be a public hearing. Depending on what secrets could come out Trump might not do that. And he would likely not risk losing. But I don't think he would. Too many republicans are afraid of angering their alt right base. If enough cabinet and republicans get to the point to even consider tbe 25th, they might have more luck just convincing Trump to resign "on his own terms".
  11. hmmmm
  12. That's true. There is far less time for heavy story telling. They also don't have 50 writers or vince McMahon.
  13. I don't disagree. But nxt is more consistent. And one could argue roode vs drew was as good as anything on summerslam. But regardless the four way was tremendous. Nxt had less lows. But also the point of nxt is to develop talent so they shouldn't be wasting time with guys that would have poor matches. The majority of guys having great matches at sunmerslam came through nxt. So that means nxt is serving its intended purpose.
  14. Wrestling will always need stories. And has also always boasted worker matches. Many of us grew up on 80's wwe or 90's wwe so we may not realize that Flair was working his ass off all over the world at the same time. Omega/Okada is the new Flair/Steamboat right down to all the criticism levelled at the former was also levelled at the latter. Its not a new thing. Every era pushes the athleticism and spots to new heights.
  15. I agree. I think one of the reasons the ratings have dropped so much over the last few years is the move towards the "athletic worker" matches on tv. Of course I love the work. But on a tv show, especially one that is 3+ hours long like RAW is, I don't want to feel like it's a weekly PPV. The difference between quality matches on raw and quality matches on PPV is that usually on PPV they have been built up to mean something going in and the result means something coming out. On tv it's often just guys who can work working for the sake of work. Id do more storylines, shorter matches. I wouldn't go as far as Russo style crash tv but I'd certainly entertain the idea. Throw more stuff st the wall. Oddly every so often WWE comes up with a more dramatic storyline idea, building up mystery etc and it always means more to the ratings. Then they get away from it. On PPV you should be having the killer matches that pay off the build up. NXT certainly has storylines. But most people are watching the big events like take over and not the regular shows. So we see less of it. And nxt generally does more old school sports style rivalries. Which, in the absence of crash tv style is better than nothing. But nxt isn't on tv and isn't trying to garner weekly ratings. So it's purpose is different.
  16. Yeah they might not officially have stripped him but they will. Haven't seen word on whether the B sample was tested but it sounds like the A sample was likely reviewed hence the timing here. It's extremely unlikely the B sample would not confirm then A sample. Hes toast. He's unlikely to garner the benefit of the doubt from many people but you have to wonder if he'll claim a tainted supplement especially given the drug here. It's almost unbelievable that he'd cheat this fight. It was so important in his career. What a dope.
  17. Wha an idiot. Wow. The money he just pissed away is massive.
  18. Loosely wrestling related, the boyfriend of Dana Brooke died from choking. Very sad. Pic at the link - he was a bodybuilding beast http://www.tmz.com/2017/08/22/dallas-mccarver-dies-bodybuilder-chokes-on-food/
  19. uh huh
  20. The best guys in WWE came from NXT. Many of them anyway. But to each their own. Im not sold on Black. I know many people think he's the next Undertaker. But when Vince sees him on RAW, he will not see him that way. Adam Cole will have the same issue because he's small. But he's a good worker and has some charisma. We shall see. Drew is going to be the guy though. As for Roman, if they had turned him heel three years ago, he'd be the face today they have desperately tried to make him. The weird thing about Roman vs Brock is, that has been the plan for WrestleMania since this past WM...then Vince abrubtly changed his mind and decided to go with Roman vs Brock for SummerSlam. But Braun got hurt, so they had to elevate Joe and suddenly, you had 4 guys who were over and so he switched it to the 4 way. Unfortunately that means they are back to Roman vs Brock for WM. Bleh
  21. He's scheduled for an MRI so unless they're doing a heck of a work, it was not a work. Bobby Roode was backstage but didnt appear so possible for SD. Undertaker has been around too...
  22. Which is very sad. Then again, some think the earth is flat. Which can lead to a lot of divisiveness. Also, we live in a world where the President of the United States feels both sides in the Nazi's vs Non-Nazi debate were at fault.
  23. I thought work too. Even the way he reacted seemed like a worked shoot. Because you're supposed to always try to get the intended finish. Supposedly the finish was the elbow and pin. So, he goes for the elbow and his knee collapses and he rolls away. Why not just fall on Enzo and pin him? Weird. I watched it again and can see Cass telling the ref he's hurt and the ref reaches back to his mic pack, presumably to relay info back to Gorilla Position. So perhaps he was told, if Cass cant finish to wave it off. Very weird. Tough break. Cass was getting over.
  24. Wrestling will always be about the story. cass legit hurt tonight. Asuka broke her collar bone at takeover.
