  1. You mean a "Jussi'er" signing.
  2. The only thing I could see is a skilled center, of which i dont see many left other than Duchesene or someone like Jokinen because of his effort and faceoff work. They might want to improve on faceoffs especially with Little having been injured. If they feel they have enough depth to over-come losing Little's offensive input (if injured) they might want to have more faceoff depth.
  3. I'd rather have Kovalchuk than Doan. Doan is the perfect example of a player who doesnt know when to quit. Should have taken the celebratory retirement with the Coyotes and kept a job with them. Although, its his business if he wants to keep playing (or try to). And if we're going down that road, I'd rather rather have Jagr.
  4. I dont think so. I dont think it lost anything by being on FX other then maybe the investment by the Network. I have no idea if Sopranos got more money to spend than SOA. SOA was FX's highest show its entire run so I assume it was well taken care of. And they had a good cast. And it was still pretty adult. I think the writing was below Sopranos. And Boardwalk Empire. And Vinyl. But those three had Terrence Winter in common so perhaps thats why I enjoyed them all.
  5. This doesnt sound good. Its good they are retooling it though. I enjoyed SOA but felt it was a big step below the most acclaimed premium dramas (Sopranos etc). I didnt find the Mayans particularly interesting enough to spin them off. I think SOA was helped a lot by the really good cast so hopefully the re-casting improved the Mayans show. Edit: The idea of a SOA prequel was more interesting. I guess its easier to film in the modern world and with a prequel we know what happens which can hinder some of the drama. Im re-watching the Sopranos right now and a prequel would have been amazing. It was set up so well.
  6. If I remember correctly, Jets had interest in Jokinen a few years ago. He;s a left wing but known for his prowess at faceoffs (and shoot outs) which would be helpful to the Jets. I was surprised to see he's only 34 years old. He scored 11 goals last season in 68 games and 18 the year before. He might not be a bad veteran on the team. Could see him taking a lot of defensive zone face offs. Another name Ive heard people mention is Mike Fisher but I doubt he'd come here if he was going to play another year.
  7. Its a fair point. And had that been Clinton, or Obama or even Bush really, it would have been an amusing moment that we'd hardly mention. But because Trump is an embarrassing idiot, it gets more play. I can understand that. Realistically, he assumed he was going to a different limo. Im sure he's surrounded by limos (there is never just one). So its not an impossible mistake to make. His aid or body man probably should have made sure he knew which limo he was taking.
  8. Ocean is big. Plane is small. Especially in the case of 370. I think they are pretty close, relatively speaking, to finding it. There have been interesting discoveries made relating to the Gardner Island theory in relation to Amelia. That she landed and might have even made transmissions from her plane until the surf swept it away. A buried skeleton was found and conflicting reports had it as a middle aged man or a tall white woman. The bones were lost. They found other artifacts, a make up kit, plexiglass that was the same size and thickness of her plane window, a women's shoe heel, improvised tools etc. Imagine they had landed...and waited for help to come and it never did. Crazy. The Japanese prisoner theory has existed for a long time. So this photo isnt the first time it's come up. Ofcourse, Star Trek fans know that the Caretaker abducted her and kept her in stasis until discovered by the Voyager crew 300 years from now.
  9. It's really quite simple. If you make a post questioning motives don't get so upset when someone else reaponds. This is a discussion forum. Grow up.
  10. I wasn't replying to you. Are we now making blanket statements? You don't want to go down that road. Maybe you should chill
  11. Jets will have to extend Little just due to lack of anyone else ready to take over. They do have Little and Trouba and Matthias coming off after this year. The year after is Myers and Wheeler. Will have some decisions to make for sure.
  12. Many factors. But Trouba not having a contract last summer when they handed out the C and A's would have eliminated him from contention.
  13. Trump's backing himself into a corner. NK has already crossed Trump's red line of developing a missile that could strike the US. He said it would never happen. It's happened. At some point, Trump is going to have to send in the troops (or drones).
  14. Wheeler Im not worried about as he's a winger and we have talented wingers. But Little as 2C, we need someone to step up. Scheif will be the next Captain or Trouba.
  15. Yes that important. Neither got raises in free agency. That doesnt mean they arent bad...if their previous teams over-paid. But I dont think/ Reading and hearing more about Kulikov, he was a very good D man for Florida who had a bad injury last year. Jets clearly think he can get back to his Florida days.
  16. Jets will pay. The question wont be if they can pay but whether they can afford to keep everyone under the cap. They really will need the Wheeler & Little replacements sooner rather than later
  17. Thats better than $14 million. Gives the Oilers a bit more money to play with.
  18. Just read some of his comments. if you disagree, thats cool.
  19. I find this very fascinating. There is intriguing evidence that they survived a crash landing. If they were "rescued" by the Japanese it would explain why there has been some evidence they landed and survived on the island but no bodies were found.
  20. This is very true. He's creating and enhancing his brand. Its one thing to embrace immigrants but he seems to be guilty of being a Canadian and seems to want those of us born here to feel guilty about it too. His message is never one of of unity. its always that he's the smartest guy in the room and we should all be ashamed to not think the way he does.
  21. True but whenever there is a feel good story or feel good comments, there are always people who say "what else is he going to say". I'd prefer to take it at face value. He is under no obligation to say anything. I'd prefer to believe he isnt just lying. Sometimes players choose the best fit, regardless of money. Sometimes they have multiple offers with similar money and it comes down to fit, best chance to win, team mates etc. Either way, he specifically singled our two of our leaders as reasons that positively influenced his decision to come here.
