Bull. Makes zero sense. Perhaps they call "well do everything we can to keep you bit there is no guarantee " a no deal. Clearly their intent was to protect everyone. And they did it. And kept a first round pick. Jets did better today then probably any of the teams.

If they went 4-4 you think they swap first rounders to protect perreault or Lowry? No. It probably costs more. Look what other teams gave up to protect players other teams lost a player AND gave a pick if not more. Jets lost no players and swapped picks, didn't give one away. I know this seems complicated but it isn't. Chevy made a great deal to keep his entire roster intact AND keep a first round pick. He could only have done better or Vegas actually gave us something

No. Toby had a NMC. He waived in exchange for a promise he'd be protected. So don't pretend like we could walk away from him. We couldn't. Jets HAD to make a deal to protect him. Hell a few hours ago we thought we were losing Dano AND a draft pick. We swapped picks. Other teams gave more. We lost ZERO players. How hard is that to understand? They had to do something because they promised Toby. If they wouldn't make that promise then they either lose Myers or leave perreault or Lowry exposed. They dropped 11 spots in a weak draft to preserve all their players. Get it?

So you're saying picking 13 rather than 24 is more valuable than Lowry or Perrault or Myers? its not. They lost ZERO players. And still have a first round pick.

They dropped 11 spots. Retained a first round pick and only included a 3rd in two years (they can replace it if they want to) and lost zero players. Had chevy not made that deal then Toby doesn't waive and the jets have to go 4-4. Further, they retained Dano as well. They lost ZERO players.

Lot of people on social media don't get this. Thorbs is a UFA. He's not under contract. He's not a jet (well until Saturday). Chevy dropped 11 spots. That was basically the Price charged the jets for expansion. Brilliant really.

I wonder if Thorburn retired. Vegas had to take someone from every team. They took an aged UFA. So basically they picked no one from Wpg.

And to go 7-3 and protect Armia, Lowry, perreault etc. Price of doing business.

sounds like vegas is valuing picks far more than getting some talent this year. trying to build for the future.
