  1. Yes for sure he will. Big baby face just in time for road to wm unless he makes it back early. But it's a disaster for wwe who had him pencilled in for a program with Brock.
  2. Strowman had surgery and is out "up to six months" which is a disaster for WWE an their summer plans. Not a great thing for Braun either as he was going to make more money then he's ever seen.
  3. Some interesting remarks on Sami from Jetsnation: Niku was projected prior to his draft-eligible season to be a second or third round pick; he then proceeded to fall on draft day. Some have speculated a disappointing international year for the Finns, while others believe that Niku’s performance in the Mestis had to do with his fall, despite the fact the left-shot defender put up 25 points in 39 games in a professional men’s league, just four points fewer in same number of games played than the second-round drafted forward Julius Nattinen. The smooth skating offensive defender had an excellent Draft+1 year, putting up 11 points in 38 games in the Liiga with an impressive defensive showing for the gold medal Finnish World Junior team. Niku’s point per game production was the highest for under 20 defenders and the fourth highest for under 20 skaters. With a 53.8 per cent Corsi, Niku actually was one of the best shot differential rookies in the entire Liiga. While Niku is a legitimate prospect, and is projected at providing more value than the average seventh round draft selection, one reason why Niku is so high is that organizational environment impacts the probability a player hits their celling.
  4. His Elite Prospects profile has him at 6'0" and 176lbs. 20 years old. so he has room for improvement. if he can get up to 190-ish. All depends how he plays. A little more muscle always helps. And the Jets seem high on fitness. Now he's under contract they can begin working with him more closely.
  5. Thats what I thought and rightfully so. Was injured. Needs to get really good and confident at that level.
  6. For those of you interested, New Japan World (their version of the WWE Network) will have it's website over-hauled tomorrow. No idea to what extent. But the criticism was, it's in Japanese so it can pretty difficult to navigate, sign up etc if you dont speak the language. Assuming this is part of their push into North America and in time for some big stuff coming up such as the Omega/Okada rematch and the G1 Los Angeles shows, featuring a tournament to crowd the first ever IWGP Unites States Champion (i'd think Omega or Cody Rhodes gets it).
  7. Is Stanley Moose-bound this coming season or is he still a junior?
  8. A Cinderella is always a nice story. I might cheer for Ottawa too, especially with the Anderson story and how under-stated Karlsson is. But not against my Pens. There will always be the irrational hatred of Crosby. But the Pens are a good story too. A team that very smartly, with the talent and salaries they have, re-loading twice for runs at the cup. And you see what happens when a star player is willing to leave money on the table so there is room for supporting cast. That's deserving of success. Not to mention the fact one of the best D men in the game has been out the entire playoffs, their #1 goalie gets hurt in Game 1 warm ups and the "old guy" has a resurgence to lead them to the conference final. Great stories all around. And out west? Some sterling performances by Rinne. A deep Preds team that almost seems tailor made for the playoffs. All the controversy around trading Weber for Subban. The revival of the Ducks under cranky old Carlyle almost the epitome of a team aging out of their window that combines a young, talented D with aging vets determined for another shot at glory. And even though the Ducks are dirty so you want to see them lose, that in itself is a story because the league allows it, and they are here to win. Built to win..at any cost.
  9. Okay I have a few. Most of you know Im a wrestling promoter so I've brought in a lot of guys over the years. But Ill save those ones as Ive probably told them a few times already...except for a couple Ill share. - Without going into great deal, Spent a day with Eddie Guerrero. Unbelievably nice man. To the extent that every one of us who had the pleasure of interacting with him for that one day felt a very strong affection for him. And when he died it was heart breaking. - The same event we also had Honky Tonk Man & Brutus Beefcake in town for 4 days. Well, we happened to know Burton Cummings (Ill explain why below). And Burton invited us all over to his big house on Park Av. Long story short, I have video of HTM and Burton singing HTM's theme song together. Plus video of Burton singing and playing his piano with HTM sitting on the seat beside him. Burton hands HTM a guitar to accompany him and HTM says "actually I never learned how to play". - I worked for a hotel/nightclub starting in 1998 (until they closed for expansion in 2008). When it first opened as The Palladium they had live bands and Burton used to be a regular to play VLT's, hang out and occasionally jam with whomever was on stage. He became very close friends with the hotel owner's son. So they partied alot. They told a story that when Burton used to do the anthems at Jets game, there were many times he went to the game (when they were afternoon games) still hammered from the previous night and they'd literally pick him up and carry him to the entrance, he'd go on, do a perfect rendition, walk off, and go right to sleep. So when I began working there, many nights Burton would be in the VLT lounge and invite us over (he always liked having people around). He was very generous and would let people roam his house freely, drink his booze, smoke his weed etc. He loved giving tours too as he had many collectables laying around (A Kareem Abdul-Jabbarr rookie card tossed into a random draw etc). He would always play at his piano for us and Ill tell you, as energetic and emotional as he plays at a live concert, he is just the same in his home in front of 10 people. Amazing. He would never play his own stuff though "No one wants to hear that" he'd say. Except...his last album, we heard tracks from it played live probably two years before it was released. One funny story is, I was dating a young server from the bar and she had no clue who Burton Cummings was. Maybe she was 19 years old or so. So I took her after work and showing her around. She never "got" it but she loved how enthusiastic I was about it. So we end up in Burton's bedroom and start going at it...in walks Burton. He sees us, apologizes for interrupting, grabs what he came in for and left...lol Ill tell a few more later. Great thread!!
  10. I know, it felt weird writing that. lol But not an 18/19 year old going to the Moose for 4 years. I'd say he could be up within a year or two, if only for injuries etc. There will always be injuries. But if he's 22/23/24 I'd say he gets a shot. Moose should be better, that's for sure. I wonder if the offer Postma a two-way deal (or if he'd accept it) to keep some experience but allow him to go to the Moose cheaply. Someone refresh me, whats the Jets/Moose D looking like next season so far?
  11. Has potential. And shoots left!! He'll be 21 when the new season begins so he's not a kid either.
  12. Oh good, so Putin will tell Trump he can go ahead and attack North Korea.
  13. I remember hearing about that L&O plan. I think it was due to the success of the dramatic presentation of the OJ case. Lots of really interesting cases out there they could tackle.
  14. Week 2 update: down another 8.9 lbs. For a total of 18.2lb in two weeks. Always easy early. But its still nice to see results. The only depressing thing is having results and barely noticing because I let myself go so far. Oh well, keep at it...
  15. Twitter chatter about indictment rumours including Trump, Manafort and Flynn under sealed indictment. Imagine if that were true. One can hope
  16. Sens better knock it off. No one likes Cinderella Go Pens Go
  17. Republicans better get their heads on straight. If they keep letting trump do this, assuming Americans have learned something since the election, the dems are going to seize both houses and then it's going to be a damned reckoning
  18. @ediger thank you! I really appreciate the kind words. We're very lucky Kenny considers us home and enjoys coming back. I notice you didn't ask about my poor head. It's still pretty bruised up. In case you were wondering. Lol ?
  19. Hahaha how awesome would this be? (It won't happen but hilarious to imagine Trumps reaction)
